Just to ask, is there anywhere where I could post the results from my speed test? :/

I complied r37ST from a .elf which was available on the DML google-code developmental site.

I'm now using r40_mod (which FIX94 complied the source for). :)

What about the issue with memory cards ?
It tells me I should reformat it... but this problem isn't on any game.

Amazing!

I haven´t been into the wii-hacking scene for a good while, but to come back to this is great.
It seems although to be only the beginning as far as compatibility & stuttering goes, right?
And how is it with dual-disc games?

Looking at your post, you REALLY should look into the latest usb loader gx.
Light years ahead....

Nand channel loading
Nand emu channel loading
Nand emu save emulation ( saves right on usb or sd! )
ALL thinkable options right from the intuitive gui.
Installation/ deinstallation of .wads on emunand.
Dumping of saves to emunand. batch or per game.
Dumping of nand right from the gui.
Fully customizable path options( share covers with other loaders for instance etc...)

Offical forwarder available
99% compatible with Wii games, Nand channel limited only because of cios.
MORE options than ANY loader, but very well organized and lockable with parental controls.
No need for external PC apps to set options. All is managable from the gui.

DML support ( great! )
In the very near future, game banner support. Play official game banners ( there is allready a demo of this, it's awesome )
extensive parental controls, details section of EVERY game this includes 3d real time covers, game info etc.

And btw a lot of GC games look really good! ( beyond good and evil, windwaker, starfox adventures, mariokart DD, Paper mario, F Zero GX... all TOP Productions)
I really wished Wii had this level of quality all the time....
Wow! Banner support!! I've always wanted a loader that does that. Will it support it for wads on emunand also?
That would be a clincher for me, and with that feature set, it sounds like I wouldn't miss any functionality.
Last time I looked into it, I did not like the interface that much (from the videos, never installed it), but you are causing me to take a second look.
Thanks for drawing my attention to it.

By the way:
How do I run the speed test elf file?

Erm...you either haven't installed a recent version (r22 or newer) or you have no idea what you're talking about. I've been at this for a couple days and I can't get the games to stutter even if I wanted to.

Compatibility...well, there are some games that don't work right, but this compatibility list is already looking quite good...and most of the issues/not working games were with an older revision.

As for dual disc games...I haven't read about someone reporting either a success or a miss. There aren't special precautions that I know of, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work (if it saves and then asks to restart with the 2nd disk, it's probably fine).

Compile it, like you normally would using the source from another DML revision and using that wad creator from the tutorial.

Go through a loader like you would, playing any game and wait. When it's done your wii should shutdown. Check dm.log for your results.

Ah, actually, I haven´t tried DML at all, as I have my Wii currently packed away since the summer.
I am just basing my post on reading other peoples stuff.
I was only thinking if the compatibility is that good that it would be worth to unpack my Wii and order a 32-gig SDHC-card?

Yes EVERY avaiable banner can be played. It'really tops it off in my opinion.
It would also like mention it has per game or global settings for ratio.
( some games look and are meant for 4:3 ratio, no need to set it in your Wii settings, can be done right from the loader!)

It is really great to see crediar returns to the DML development, and it looks like that in r28 version he has updated the CHEATHOOK part of the codes. If that works, then I will just need to add the part for reading the cheat codes file (gct file). Hopefully this weekend I could find a time to do that. And for those are interested and want to test it, I could pass the DML.elf file after I finish testing it myself (will post again at that time).

Cheers.

I could try it out once you do it. And I think everybody in this topic would like to try it out ;)

Manage to include the cheat code file feature, see the video below for the action:

You could find several versions of DML elf file in the link below. I only tested the ones with SNEEK NAND, so would appreciate if any of you could let me know whether the real NAND version works for you or not. And you dont need to have kenobigc.bin file anymore.

I'll try it out on real NAND, 'cause all that sneek crap just gives me a headache... I'll report the results as soon as I try it out.

Ok, tried on USBGX, and doesn't work. Tried on neogamma and it didn't do. Where do I have to put the .gct? Like for instance in USBGX there's a folder named codes. But it didn't work for me. In neogamma b9 r56 I activated the ocarina options and I think that it uses the same folder as USBGX, but no codes worked on RE2, the game I always test first. I haven't tried with postloader 'cause I don't even know if there is a cheat option. Wiiflow doesn't work for me right now, but i'll just update the .dol and I must try it out. But right now, It didn't work for USBGX, and neogamma b9 r56.

Currently, it will look in the associated game folder in your SD card. As an example, I put the gct file (named as "codes.gct") in the SD card folder: SD:\games\GLME01 for Luigi Mansion game (the same folder where the file "game.iso" is located for that game).

It worked in USBGX and in Neogamma by putting the file "codes.gct" in the respective game carpet. Thanks!

I've been tryin out usb GX, but i cant figure out how to get it to play DML other than starting up Neogamma. I am useing DML r36 in Neogamma and it is working great! SSX Tricky froze on DML r 21, but now plays smooth as silk. I would like to run DML directly from usb gx. Can anyone explain how?
Thanks

Thanks for the explanation. I actually thought it was a stand-alone app.

That is amazing. Do you have a link to that demo?

About the memory card issues:
Is there somebody who did not start the mod for japanese games once and has the problems?
