Meh, disc read error in Wind Waker after about half an hour of play (sailing, immediately after sailing onto one of the glowing ring areas in the water) :( r30 is definitely getting there, but obviously still has issues...
Is there any lagging during sailing? In r21 you would see it stutter on occasion.
No lag. I haven't seen any lag or stutter in any game I've played (using r25 and r30) including things like the Tales of Symphonia intro video.

Would it be possible to implement a piece of code that refreshes the cache stored on the SD Card without the need of deleting it every time? :/

So... There's no need to delete anything from the SD Card before using DML through either WiiFlow or NeoGamma then?

Can anyone confirm that most common problems have been fixed in r30?

Take a look to the changelog. Its quite well explained
I've had trouble with every revision after r21 (r21 works best) and just tried r30, still same problems. Can't even start the games it only shows a green screen and then black screen, or just black screen. No more video signal drop though, but still not working.

Luigis Mansion (pal), black screen.
Zelda Four Sword (pal), green screen then turns black.

see previous post to view my wii configuration and earlier tests with r25,26,27,28 & 29

Maybe the BC is corrupted?

BC is another Gamecube retrocompatibility module, like MIOSv10, infact it launch the MIOSv10 (and other operations)

Download BC from the new Wad Creator 0.7 (check previous pages) and install it

Or download the elf from googlecode and create your own WAD

Thanks for the advice =) but if you had read my "full" post you would have seen that it works well with r21 and therefore you should understand that BC is not the problem here.
And just to be clear, I know my stuff around the wii scene so I would not report any problems if there were no, nor would I report if I havn't first myself tried every possibility that I can figure out in the range of my own knowledge (or through "common" computer/wii knowledge).
Thanks for the info though, maybe you helped someone atleast ;).

And for people to lazy to use the link to my previous post, here is my wii info..
  • PAL Wii(4.3E), priiloader installed, running on real nand
  • NeoGamma R9 beta56/PostLoader 3.60.0 (also tried forsing video mode)
  • DML r21(working), r22-30(not working)
  • Orginal Wii Disc Game in drive (Wii Fit)
  • SD Card 2GB FAT/64kb cluster (not FAT32)
  • Orginal Gamecube memory card
  • Orginal Gamecube controller
  • Component cables
Status DMLr30: Not Working (for me)
  • Luigis Mansion (pal)(fstfix t), black screen (no sound)
  • Zelda Four Sword (pal)(fstfix t), green screen then turns black (no sound)
  • Zelda Wind Waker (pal)(fstfix t), green screen then turns black (no sound)
Latest working revision (for me) is r21

I'm getting fantasic results for DMLr30, although I've only tried two problematic games so far.
Mario Kart DD (PAL), intro is now smooth as duck shit and no more weird timing at the start of a race now. Perfect.
Hulk Ultimate destruction (US), was almost too jerky to play on r21 but now is like it was straight off a disc. I forgot how good that game was.
Running via Wiiflow418, DMLr30 wad installed on real NAND, Wii 4.2E, component cables, disc in drive is an old DVD-RW GCOS Multi-Game disc, SD card 8GB class 6 FAT32 64K cluster, orig mem card, wavebird controllers.

Do you have an old SD card 2gb or less? (looks like you're using a SDhc card right know)
If you have then maybe you could help out and try that also? (format to FAT and 64kb cluster)
Just to see if that also works for you?

Sorry - that should have said 8GB Class 6 - edited.
Busy trying other titles right now - will try fat tomorrow night (nearly midnight here & gotta work)
In the meantime:
  • Tried Simsons Hit & Run (US) - got the 'error has occurred' screen some time during the attract mode' - was made with discex -c so will try that without next -c next. Made a second attempt and skipped straight to game. With R21 was virtually unplayable (especially when say Bart gets into the rocket car thing), but now is super smooth and runs really well. EDIT: after playing a while I left it idle and got the 'Error has occurred' again.
  • Tried Star Wars Rogue 2 (Pal) and got black screen - will also try that without the -c in discex next.

Is your wii PAL? In wiiflow which video mode do you have?

Does anyone have a link to a pre-compiled DML r30 wad please. Thanks.

EDIT: Not the wad, The r30 files needed to use along side create wad. Thanks.
