if the signal is flowing i don't believe there can be a difference in quality. its like a car part, steel is steel, a $25 rotor does the same as a $50 rotor.

if the connection is made how can you say that there is "better" quality between wires? i have a $5 hdmi cable from 5 below, it works just as well as my $14 cable i bought from the dollar general.
Cable quality can make a difference. Some time ago I compared a cheap DealExtreme Wii component cable with a Monoprice cable and the picture was noticeably better with the Monoprice cable. I actually had to repair the cheap cable and noticed that it had no shielding and was poorly constructed.

sorry for off topic just felt the need to comment. back on topic, where is dios mios for usb loading? no more words from crediar on it?
There's a thread about the new DIOS MIOS, but very little news in the last while.

I was gonna ask the same question, whatever happened to that? :O I really wanna know if the used USB device can be formatted as FAT32 or NTFC or not!
In the Devolution thread, SanGor said that crediar would not support NTFS. From what I understand, Gamecube mode doesn't have enough RAM for extra code.

I have seen people complaining about screen interference when using component cable with a external hd. Is it common with most cables?

Don't know. A well-shielded cable should be okay. Component definitely looks better than composite. IMO, the Monoprice cables are probably the best deal around.

I'm pretty sure that, if you guys are capable of playing it, then that means whatever bug was there before was fixed in 1.3 and on. My Vizio (I'm not rich) LCD HDTV is set to 480p, the Wii is set to 480p and I use official component cables, so by that logic, those use with the current settings, it's supposed to work. What should the CFG USB settings be set to for this game?

The game changes between 240p and 480i while running. Like you might notice the main menu or FMVs are visible, then suddenly have the screen go black during gameplay.

Temporarily disable ALL relevant hacks then start Mega Man X Collection from the disc channel. See what happens then. You might've set DML to try forcing the game into a mode it's not compatible with.

As we all know an unhacked Wii does not upscale or force video mode for disc-based Gamecube or Wii ititles. Any games that don't support 480p will ignore the system setting. (even then Gamecube games still have to be told to enable 480p) For instance MadWorld is among those few 480i-only retail Wii releases.

I don't have the disc with me, so I can't even play it without using DML 1.3+. How do I use the disc channel without the disk, much less tell it to launch the game I want to?

I thought the whole idea of DML is so you DON'T have to use the original disc for the game you want to play, but that you just have some random gamecube in the slot instead.

Look there for all your needs.

Also you could look in to the newest usbloaders (wiiflow mod,CFG mod and Usbloader X 3.0) as they all support DML. Some games require a disc in the drive. Can be any disc.

Good Luck

Uh, I'm using CFG USB Loader right now, so I already know how it can use DML for gamecube games, but that still doesn't explain to me how I'm to get this game to run, since so many people can run the bloody thing already. Sheesh, I must be the only here experiencing an ID10T error. Perhaps I was too vague in my last post, I don't know, but CFG will NOT load the game using DML 1.2, as I get a black screen on official Wii component cables, which so many people are managing to run the game on. That's the thing that doesn't make sense to me.

No, I don't have any Neo Geo games for the VC, but I do have Snes games, which look horrible when upscaled to 480p (no filtering, horribly pixelated). I believe Snes games were in 240p as well. Using my Nintendo component cables, I have played Megaman X collection numerous times and I know it works in gamecube mode. Since the emulated PS1 games show up on my TV just fine, that would indicate that 240p-based games are being displayed on my HDTV properly.

By this logic, there is no reason for this game to give me such hell for loading it via DML. What should work in Gamecube disc mode should work despite using an SDHC card. The only difference is the medium being used and is not a fault of the TV.

Again, all of CFG USB Loader's settings for this game were all set to default, I only messed with the video output settings, trying EVERY single mode, and the only one that got "results" was Force 480p, which cause double-image flickering in monochromatic color.

If anyone is interested in buying component cables for the Wii buy the official one its much sharper than any other 3rd party cables http://www.amazon.co...e/dp/B000JJRV90

Digital is digital, either it works or it doesn't. Don't spend 10 times the price for the same product.
Well i know it makes a difference cause i had bought 3rd party components cables for the wii,but when i got the official one the sharpness was completly different ...and the official cable is very cheap lol

This is a silly idea but, perhaps the iso you ripped is faulty, maybe you can try re-ripping/downloading the game, see if that fixes it for you!

"Mega Man X collection" works no problem for me by
CFG mod r32+DML v1.4b+component cable+NTSC LCD TV.

I use all default settings of DML in CFG.

You should try a different loader, cfg seems to have the worst DML support.

How is it the worst? USB loader GX doesn't even list my Gamecube games on the SD card, just the ones for the Wii. I don't have the physical disc right now but I might have to re-rip it.

i've got to say, not all 3rd party cables suck. i have monster cables for our wii, an those look just as good as "N" cables. if not better. yeah i know it's not that big of a deal to have the ends gold plated. but they don't look cheap like "N" cables. they are nice an fat. an work well with dml an wii in general. got them from amozon, for a little cheaper then "N" cables. http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Cable-GameLink-Component-Stereo/dp/B002T7XV9Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1337007373&sr=8-2
@ the- randomizer, try the newer version of wiiflow mod. it will show both games on the usb/sd. an works well with launching games. also post loader works good.
i don't really think the loaders will be 100% until crediar releases his usb loader for gc games.(just waiting for the day. :) )
