Sorry to hi jack but i can't get luigi mansion to work either. I have a 4.3 e wii and installed dios mios 2.8 I believe to 249. Put the iso through a program then onto a sd and usb. I can see the game fine but no matter what loader or how many settinga I change I just get black screen, has anyone any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Any help appreciated oh and dont have a working drive but was told this game didn't require a disc to play

luigi's Mansion is the game orgazmo1009 had problems with originally it doesn't require the disc follow the guide I posted above and you should have no problems at all with any games and download the batch files I posted along with discex v0.9, also update to dios mios 2.10 and make sure to update CIOS 249 to d2xv10 beta 52 or 53-alt.

Dios-Mios=GC on USB
Dios-Mios-Lite=GC on SD

Will do but how do I update the cios 249 like u said?

follow the guide on this page https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/backup-launchers/installation
but with a kick. download either
https://d2x-cios.googlecode.com/files/d2x-v10-beta52.zip
or
https://d2x-cios.googlecode.com/files/d2x-v10-beta53-alt.zip

Use this page to decide which version of v10 you want
https://code.google.com/p/d2x-cios/wiki/How_to_choose_d2x_distribution

extract the version you downloaded you'll get a folder with a bunch of files copy the files to the d2x installer folder in the apps folder on your sd card start the installer on your wii.
follow the instructions on the tutorial page by starting off with selecting your new version of d2x which will be v10 beta r52 or v10 beta r53-alt.
also when using the installer it's best to use the batch process instead of installing just 249(56) then restarting the installer and installing 250(57).

I know but it's used for backup loaders so kinda needed for running dios-mios unless using dm booter app or wad installed to nand

Not needed at all.
cIOS is needed to run Wii games, not GameCube games.

If he already has a cIOS (whatever the version) which let him launch the backup loader, then he doesn't need to update it. I'm using cIOS rev17 and it works. I get access to NAND and the loader can detect the installed DIOS MIOS version, that's enough to launch DIOS MIOS (Lite). I don't say that updating is wrong, just that it's not needed for gamecube games, and if he has problem with DM right now it's not related to cIOS.

that is very true but keeping things like CIOS and CMIOS updated is kinda good because of device compatibility

some devices don't work on some revisions of d2x

skip xNeek files doesn't extract the /sys/ folder
if you use DiscEx without /sys/ folder it's maybe why games didn't work, as Extracted format require all files and folders.

i tried multidisc but im not sure if i did it right.... and i cant test because i havent played that far..
for example resident evil...

game.iso and disc2.iso is in the same folder path like disc1....
disc one:
usb:\games\G4BP08\game.iso
disc two:
usb:\games\G4BP08\disc2.iso
(renamed and moved from usb:\games\G4BP082\game.iso)

but what about the sys folder? i noticed no game is working with out it....
can i delete usb:\games\G4BP082\ with sys folder inside?

thx for helping me out

You can delete the empty folder.

The /sys/ folder is needed only if you are using Sneek, or extracted mode.
If you use the .iso then you can delete the /sys/ folder.

Both iso in the same folder should work fine for automatic disc swapping.
You can try easilly by loading disc2 and select "new game" on title screen, it will ask you to insert disc1 and DM(L) will autodetect and swap it 2 seconds later.

If it doesn't work, maybe you are not using the latest DM/L version?

Edit:
for information, the post you liked (here) is old, USBLoaderGX now supports disc swapping and display only one game if you place both iso in the same folder. just be sure to use the latest revision
