If you wish to use localized Names it's not Piyomon either...
If you don't, then you have to change Palmon to Parumon.
Be consinstent when you translate.
JPCSP should do it, tick 'Extract decrypted EBOOT.BIN files to the TMP folder' under Options > Configuration > Crypto, then run the game and check the folder. I tried to test it myself, changed a few words and overwrote the old EBOOT in the iso with the decrypted one, but it didn't make a difference. Probably needs to be re-encrypted before it gets put back.

I'm not entirely sure. They could be GMOs since some of the exported PNGs look very 3D rather than like typical Toei portraits. I guess you could maybe go through the GMO exports in Noessis if that helps. Or even the texture thumbnails if you batch export to DAE or OBJ. That's what I did to find all the Digimon models I could.Do you think the battle menu are in gmo or png format well i have an idea or a guess.. we can still extract and insert the images

I'm not sure exactly on how you go about doing it and what's in there, but yes you can find the text with a Hex editor. Searching for the Japanese for Koromon comes up with 39-odd results though, so I'm not sure what they all are.doing so I can pull out the texts and etc from eboot?
That's just a romanisation issue surely? Wikimon uses 'Palmon', surely that's accepted enough. Though I would agree with Piyomon.

I was just testing it out, just did a search and replace for Koromon in Japanese, then overwrote the eboot in the iso. Didn't work, so I'm guessing it needs to be re-encrypted, not sure how you'd do that. What did you translated? however, if I'm not mistaken then to make the changes you need to create a ppf patch or xdelta

And this is why Translations shouldn't be rushed. Two mistakes in one screenshot, bad alignment and the Menu words aren't even properly readable (like Slot and stuff).
Sure it is "only Digimon" but you should threat your own work better than that. After all, you should be proud of your work, right?
Hey guys may know if there is a patch present at the moment,I am about to start out with the game,I am only asking because I don't wanna play through the game in Japanese.
Any release date?

Wikimon consistently uses the Japanese terms, you're looking at the English Wiki which uses dubbed terms.

That's probably it then. I presumed that was all mention of Koromon since that was the file Xhai and Liberta had been editing. I was just experimenting with what I could find tbh, might try it again another day when I've got some time. There is no need to redecrypt.. It may be that the name is not used in the place you checked. Check it by changing either the narrator or map names. There is only 1 or 2 places to show them.

I believe this was just a progress report. Much like I do from time to time. Just to keep people interested and keep hope up that YES work is in fact being done still and progress IS being made.

I see your point but the problem IS actually: It gives people hope.
But what if you can't justify those hopes and just get stuck somewhere?
I prefer to show updates of something meaningful, not just another absolutely meaningless occurence of English text.
I think what our job as Translators and eventually Hackers to do is, to present the fans the game in a way as if it was localized. This is the experience they long for, and ultimately what you want to give them.
Compromising with everything will lead nowhere in life. This is the lesson I've learned from life. Ultimately: Do everything you can at your absolute best. Why? Because you might not get another shot.
You release screen shots of what you've done so people know how far you've gotten. You don't release them saying "Here's where I'm gonna be in 5 days!" it's just to update people as to where you are NOW. If you get stuck then you let them know and say "Here's where I'm stuck at. Sorry all. Gotta make the best of what you can." and either hope someone can fix it later or get further.

Don't state it as a fact. I don't need lecturing thank you. Way too old for it anyways.
As I said I PREFER to do it this way. I clearly said this is my opinion. You have yours. That's fine.
By stating it as fact your's get not more righteous than mine.
