Hacking Different Region 3DS + Local Multiplayer[Gateway]

Okay I've tried searching enough but to no avail. Local Multiplayer doesn't seem to work between 3DS' of different regions. I've even tried with ROM's of the respective regions.

Is there any possible fix to the situation? Changing EmuNand region? I don't really require eshop access.


Would really appreciate some help.


Additional Info: I have a EUR N3DS & a US 3DS XL.

Good point. The US one doesn't have the patch applied. I'll do it asap and post results here. Thanks.

Done applying the update. Now both copies of Mario Kart are on v. 1.1. Still doesn't work I'm afraid.

Any other ideas?

But according to what I have read, Local Multiplayer doesn't work with a ROM of different region.

You can't do it under normal circumstances, not sure running an EU emunand on US or vice versa would work. You could try and let us know? Though I believe it is a fairly complex process. For simplicity why not just play online?

Actually there are games like MH3 which just has Local Co-op mode which I'm intending to play. Anyways, thanks.

Successfully changed Gateway EmuNand from US region to EUR region.. Local Multiplayer now works like a charm.

Did you use the same SecureInfo file for both 3DS at the same time?

No. I haven't extracted the secureinfo from my n3ds yet. Used a public EUR one available at a site which deals with 3ds and something called iso.
