Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Known bugs: - Toggling the sound OFF hangs the emulator. - Saves are not working. Position the cursor in slot 000, 001, 002, 003, or 004, press right to go down one page. Now keep pressing Up like you wanted to go back to slot 014 or further, the list won't scroll, but the names will. You will only notice visually if you have your covers assigned. - When you launch the emulator from USB, games/art on the device will be ignored if a SD card is also inserted with the same Z-GX folder structure. SD will be prioritized. - When you launch the emulator from USB, and there is a SD card inserted without the Z-GX folder structure present, it will DSI crash. - 12 seconds pause before the game starts booting, affects build 20260811B. - Cover files do not load when you start the emulator from a USB device, yet it will load them if a SD card with the files is inserted before emulator launch. (FIXED in build 20260803B) - 240p.txt file is not detected or generated when you launch the emulator from a USB device. Hacking Did usb loader gx break my usb?

This is totally different from the post i made earlier: I had a 128GB USB Drive formatted as fat32 and one time while installing a GameCube game it froze and i tried to plug it into my PC and it stopped working; windows no longer detects it; the Wii no longer detects it, Will this issue happen in the future? I Just had to go out and buy a 1 TB drive for USB loader now and i worry that it can break, is this possible?

No USB loader didn't break your USB stick. But playing games off of cheap USB sticks can tax them very fast. It's best to get a HDD like you did if you're going to be playing a lot of games on it. I blew out a USB stick on a Vita TV recently the same way. Using a HDD now and no more issues.
