I´m using Devolution (r200) for the first time with USB-Loader GX (r1215), but i can´t get the GCN language settings to work.
Tried global setting set to german or individual game setting to german, but the games still boot to english.
How can i fix this?
Did this work before or is this a new "bug" with r200?
Language setting is only used by DIOS MIOS (Lite).

Devolution only use the "DEVO" prefixed settings, all other settings are ignored.
I'll try to rework the settings page to be more clear.

I had this setup on a usb stick and running with a PS3 controller in no time. Controls are perfect, IMO.
Wow, I thought it would be confusing or hard but this was a snap, great job with this version of Devolution, tueidj!

O_o, maybe i misunderstood too, but as i read it , Taleweaver was not talking about the first verification, and i was under the impression you thought he did.
I was talking about 1st verification. He mentioned that Family Wiis could not read GC games, which I don't think is correct since I would think the Family Wii has AHBPROT support. I think you just need to over come the disc size limitation.

Any update on BBA support?
I saw it was updated with "Emulation of the Gamecube modem hardware using the Wii's networking hardware (wifi or wired)" I thought mario kart double dash had online play does this mean it will work with that? or is this just for the phantasy star games?
So far only the Gamecube Modem(Dial UP) Adapter has been emulated. Hopefully Broadband Adapter will be coming soon. Imagine MK Double Dash LAN. :D

Has anyone gotten the "Toggle Widescreen" to work at all? I tried it on a few games, and nothing changed. I tried it on my Wii and WiiU

I've been using my WiiU to play through some of my old favourites for an evening, and I'm so glad that everything (minus PSO Ep. 1&2+ for some reason) is working great. I have a problem though; GC games are looking a little soft. Does anyone know if Devolution is getting them to render in 480p? I never see the prompt come up at the game's intro, and I recall seeing a "Progressive Scan Enabled" prompt when I would play GC games on my Wii.

I asked tueidj bout this issue and he told me that devo doesn't have anything to do with the language setting, it's stored in the SRAM and the games load it from there. He thought that most loaders had the option to change it, otherwise there is this homebrew: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Open_Sram_Language_Modifier
(works on WiiU too, btw.)

Perhaps you could incorporate that setting into GX Cyan?

Yes I got it to work. You have to have the controller inactive in order for it to work. So pressing the home button on the Classic Controller then pressing the "minus" and left d-pad at the same time.

Actually, I would like to know too if there is a way to patch video mode to 480p with Devolution.I am using a WiiU and honestly I cannot tell any big difference in image clarity...

Since you are on a WiiU, it should automatically ask you, if not hold B at the title screen. It's weird, I tried it on my WiiU just default settings with composite cables, it went away and prompted me if I wanted to use Progressive

Of course holdin B works for Ntsc games . But for PAL games the best image we had for years was 480i...

And this is also a shoutout to FIX94. Please incorperate this... ;)

*correction, i was told by the devs Wiiflow already has it*

do i have to have the original gamecube disc for this to work on wii u

Yes.

My understanding is you need to have a Wii as well. You verify the disc in the Wii paired with a Wiimote. You then need that Wiimote connected to your Wii U and you should be able to run it on your Wii U. Verification is tied to the Wiimote somehow.

Others have reported their is not way to do disc verifictaion on the Wii U itself. A Family edition Wii should work if you have a Disc adapter

I didn't tell it was an issue from Devolution, just that it was (currently?) added only to DM's Mode (in the loader, not in DM itself), and that the loader only use the "DEVO" prefixed settings when using Devolution.
I'll add support for language selection when using Devolution too.

wait. in order to play gamecube games on the family edition wii and the wii u you need a wii that can play gamecube games for verification? i didn't mind the game verification in previous devolution rev. but this is pretty stupid. it kind of make me miss the xbone drm
i don't want to sound like a dipshit but would you use a family edition wii or a wii u to play gamecube games of a hdd if you already have a wii that can do all that? i could understand it a little bit with the wii u because of 1080p and stuff, but it seems rather pointless for the family edition wii
