Right...that will never happen...Devolution was created because of DM(L)...to long a story to tell here...but trust me, those two are never going to work together.

Wishful thinking on my part  but it would be cool. I can respect that though.
They're both very respectable programmers and have vast knowledge of hardware. :P I'm glad we have a choice to choose which of the two best suits our needs. They have their differences and I respect that, but one can't deny that they've done the impossible.

I saw it was updated with "Emulation of the Gamecube modem hardware using the Wii's networking hardware (wifi or wired)" I thought mario kart double dash had online play does this mean it will work with that? or is this just for the phantasy star games?

Do I have to install Dios Mios Lite or anything to get this to work? I've got a softmodded Wii with system v4.1.

(please quote this post so I'll get an alert).

Devolution requires nothing other than a way to launch homebrew (i.e. HomeBrew Channel), v4.x of the Wii system menu, and an updated IOS58 (which I think comes bundled with Menu v4.3 anyway).

There's a readme.txt in the download, you should probably take a look at it.

Why do i get a black screen saying i need AHBPROT access ? How can i fix it ?
Like Nintendo Maniac says, you need IOS58.

From the first page of this topic: The only thing Devolution requires is a normal IOS58 and something to launch it with AHBPROT access (HBC for instance).

So, wait a second.
This program is compatible with Wii U and Wii Family Edition. And it still requires you to have an original disk in the disk slot.
Well that's just great, but I'm sorry the author wasted his time implementing these features if his own program prevents them from being used.

no,way of the mark the author has not wasted his time and as for the disc,it is only needed once and that is just to verify that you have the original disc.not many people going to agree with you on that Andim.

I have done further research. You need to own a working, old-style Wii. To play legacy games on your new console, you need to own an old console that already supports the legacy games.

This is the single most pointless thing I have ever heard of in my entire life.

not pointless by a long shot.the author has given us the option of playing our gamecube games on consoles the could not previously play them.great work by him and i for one and am sure many more are grateful for this.

No he has not. If you already own a legacy Wii (which you are seemingly required to own,) then you have no need of such options.
Imagine if your PS3 could play PS2 games- but only if you placed a PS2 on top of it. Not very useful.

I´m using Devolution (r200) for the first time with USB-Loader GX (r1215), but i can´t get the GCN language settings to work.
Tried global setting set to german or individual game setting to german, but the games still boot to english.
How can i fix this?
Did this work before or is this a new "bug" with r200?
