Ok, so reverified sm sunshine on my wii, and it boots on the wii, but when I take the hdd and wiimote to the wiiu, all I get is a black screen. Not sure what I'm screwing up.

Nevermind. Operator error.

no reason it shouldn't work on a family wii if you use a disc adapter or modify your drive to accept GameCube discs. I havent seen this confirmed, however.

With r200 out, can anybody say if the game compatibility went up or is it just the new controller support that's been added?
Thinking about updating but I don't want to reverify all my games again if nothing else has changed.
Great work on the new update tueidj, Thanks.

Has USB loader GX been updated to work with this new revision of devolution?
You don't need to update GX/WiiFlow/CFG to use the newest version/s of Devolution, you only need it to change any new settings that have been added - the only new one AFAIK being "Direct Button Mapping (A/B => A/B)".

But I don't think there's been an update to GX for that one new setting in r200 either.

kp_centi: thanks. I must have missed that part. I'll better just print out that readme, as it contains more good info than I thought.

As for how I verified on my family wii: this is the answer:
-on the new wii(u), when the drive starts blinking blue, connect the wiimote. Also: have some patience. It'll seemingly do nothing for about a minute. It isn't frozen.

I know about the direct mapping to be supported by loaders. But I don't think any one is already updated at this point yet. :)

I don't think you really looked at that list.

I can't get it to work on WiiFlow... But perhaps I just don't know what I'm doing *highly likely* but how does one change the direct button mapping?

Game compatibility was already almost perfect for r197 AFAIK?
Well I ask cuz I got a few games; Spider-Man 2, THUG 1&2, Shadow the Hedgehog, Marvel Nemesis, Paper Mario, ect (all NTSC) that don't seem to be working with Devolution that I would like to play. So I was just wondering..
Thanks for the reply tho.

I have. But most of the games I'm trying for are not on it.

Sorry for DP. I'm on my Vita.

Okay. I may be mistaken, but I think tueidj is still basing himself on that list. In any case, it's worth adding the games you mentioned there and a small summary of what goes wrong and where. :)

I'm confused... I asked about how your verified your game on a Family Wii, which spits out GC games (I assume it works with a adapter). You mentioned a WiiU though?

EDIT: I finally got around to loading games on my WiiU, yeah verification works with multiple WiiMotes. If I were you, like what I did, I made it verify on all 3 of my Wiimotes, they don't even need a CC plugged in. I think it's good for safe keeping if one of your Wiimote batteries die or you forgot one

After following this thread and reading about the recent milestones (i.e PS3 controller, Classic Controller, etc support)...I am taken aback by it all. I am amazed at both this and Dios Mios :P How he got this app to work on Wii consoles without Gamecube ports....wow

agreed. it wasnt so long ago that we could only use discs for gamecube back-ups on wii, and now just look at how far things have come =D

/me cant help smiling big as i play Smugglers Run on my 'Family edition' Wii

What would happen if Crediar and Tueidj joined forces to create an app for the Wii or Wii U? It would be like dividing by zero and cause the universe to implode. That's how ingenious those two are as both programs allow people to play with convenience :D I for one am glad there are alternatives. Indeed progress has been incontrovertibly crazy these past few years, something like this back in 2006 or 2007 would likely be laughed at, but here we are; they do what Nintendon't.

Right...that will never happen...Devolution was created because of DM(L)...to long a story to tell here...but trust me, those two are never going to work together.
