Doesn't help if our disc drives are broken, as is the case with me and most other complainers.

Yes, we all know that using a broken drive with Devolution isn't the best combination, but look at it this way, it's merely an alternative to Dios Mios, which doesn't require a functioning drive (esp if it dies after ripping the games). It's not ideal, but it's definitely an alternative :P

Granted, I haven't been the nicest person about that little aspect in the past, but I'm not going to let that ruin my day. Dios Mios is still an excellent alternative program regardless ;)

Personally I find it ridiculous to have anti-pirate features in a homebrew program like this. It's a waste of time. Time could of been used to flesh out the program better. Now others who don't like ap will have to waste their own time removing it instead of going straight into development of their variation. So Fuck you for slowing down the progress of others work. You just want more people using your's while they wait for other people to making their own apps. AP=selfish_homebrewers, so go to hell!

Yes seriously. What the fuck, man. You could have saved sooooo much time just removing this draconian AP bullshit.

Cheap way around AP= Gamefly, folks. :)

Have you even tried getting working Gamecube disks from GameFly? The Gamecube is over 10 years old. Most of the original disks are far to damaged to be read by a console anymore.

what is the point in porting this gamecube emu to the wii u if it doesn't haven't support for a gamecube drive, how will people be able to "verify" the gamecube disc if the wii u doesn't read them? pretty stupid tbh.

And you're entitled to your opinion and I respect that. I honestly cannot answer that like an expert but I'll give it a shot. For starters, the Wii U version supports the classic controller pro, Wii remote and even PS3 controllers. As for disc verification, the theory is that disc adapters (which look like full sized DVDs but have a groove that fit mini DVDs in it). I don't know for sure, but there are ways to getting it working. If anyone can do it, it's Tueidj.

In all fairness, it's his program and what he does is his prerogative. ;) Oh, and Devolution it a compatibility layer (similar to a virtual machine) and does not emulate the Gamecube as is has access to the hardware as opposed to emulating it. Yes, AP is inconvenient but that doesn't upset me anymore.

He made it so you can transfer the "verification" file based on your Wiimote

A small word to the people having opinions on the anti-piracy part of devolution: there's this thread especially dedicated to it. Have fun convincing anyone (not that it helps: tueidj doesn't read this forum anymore).

@topic: guys...guys? You want to know something awesome?

The wiiu pro controller works on devolution on the wii as well.

(yes...I've tested this myself)

In other words: :hrth::toot::grog::yay::yayps3:

Christ almighty...if this sort of discoveries keep turning up, I'm voting for devolution to be called nintendon't, as it sure does pretty much anything nintendo didn't do.

My only real concern, aside from some games not working (BMX XXX) is what about my non american games? Are we expected to import them just to verify them?

From the sound of it, yes unfortunately that might be the case. Dios Mios is an excellent program to use as an alternate solution ;)

But DreamMix TV World Fighters is an audio streamer. Well, hopefully Crediar decides to implement classic controllers in Nintendont so we can use the gc to wii adapter.
