Does Crazy Taxi's background music still work when trimmed? I kinda thought audio streaming would be messed up if it got trimmed.

Of course. Same goes for SFA. And i've must have played CT more then 70 times according to my GX's playcount, never have i had any issue :).

Right. But it's taking forever. I'm afraid that it won't be released.

I don't think it's taking forever, maybe djtuei realised that Wiimote-Classic Controller method was not worth the time so he's switching to WiiU Classic Controller. Just wild especulation.

If you mean that it won't be released for Wii, then I agree with you :P

Code:
wit copy --trunc "name-in".iso "name-out".iso

Strangely, this code doesn't work for me. It creates an iso with the same size as before (1.35 GB). If I choose to output a wbfs- or ciso-file, the file is truncated. But those wbfs- and ciso-files doesn't work with devolution.

I tried Luigi's Mansion.

With your code I get a 1.35 GB iso. With those codes:

Code:
wit copy --trunc "name-in".iso "name-out".ciso

or

Code:
wit copy --trunc "name-in".iso "name-out".wbfs

I get a trimmed file, but it's not compatible with devolution.

Not all can be "compressed", that's the way truncate works:
Truncate and compressing/trimming/shrink are not the same.
Truncate leaves the game data intact ALWAYS, not modify them at all, only remove the garbage after the last data
Compress in the other hand, modify the game data ALMOST always,
Compressed games that pass the verification of Devo, really are not modified,
this is because a few games were pressed without filled them of garbage
Leaving all it's data in the begining of the disc image (inner edge)
Then DiscEx/DMT truncate them like WIT, and not touch the data at all.

Fantastic update! going to test :yaywii::yayu:

Edit: Works pretty good, controls are very responsive and the rumble feature it's a nice plus, a lot of button combos for a variety of settings, well done tueidj and thanks for this excellent update.

Tested on Wii with Wiimote+classic controller

MEGATON!!!

How do I verify GC-Discs on Wii U? I mean I cannot find those mini-CD/DVD-Adapters to buy anywhere ... :/

(and I already tried taping the GC disc on those spacing-discs you can find in every 50-CD/DVD-Pack => no luck)

It says in the readme that all game will need reverification with r200 and up.

That's of course what I did (why does everyone on gbatemp believe you don't read any instructions?). I'll try what zerofalcon said.

Edit: yay, it works :D /going to play Majora's Mask on Wii U.

Works great for me, thanks tueidj!

It would also be nice if there could be a different button for PS3 controllers, so it doesn't turn on everyone's PS3 when they press the PS button.
