PSX seems strange...maybe that's USB wired PS3 controllers? I'll have a look at the Wiimote stuff right now, but I don't have a PS3...

Wiimote didn't seem to do anything...aka it seems to act the same as it did in the previous revision.

EDIT: The wiimote doesn't do anything... IN-GAME. The sample loader, however, now has Wiimote controls even though the text still says "Press X and/or Y". Press 2 on the wiimote to mount USB and press 1 on the wiimote to mount SD card; also use the Home button for "Press START".

EDIT 2: Classic controller also works for the sample loader, however the controls are horribly confusing. Press "X" to mount SD card, press "A" to mount USB, press "B" to load game, press "Y" to exit, and press "Home" for 'Press Start'.

This version adds:
16:9 widescreen patch (tested and working)
wiimote support for the sample loader

edit:
tueidj:
if you maybe still check here, i think the widescreen works very good. i tested it with a smaple of my games that had 4/3 and liked it. i also like that 2D menus stay streched otehrwise this could get some ugly distortions.
i assume you are not done with this, but elt me tell you that in the zelda games whenever they use a PPS to do heat refraction the screen tears isntead of going widescreen and while loading a new map the game goes 4/3 (but only for a short period until the new map is loaded)

you need to recompile the sample loader with this feature enabled. alternatively you can use anotehr loader that does that. i was lucky enough to recieve a test loader that had thisf eature enabled and i am not sure if i can say here which one or by whom. but i am sure somebody here can help you out with that or recompile the sample loader.

what the mode does is it displays 3d graphics in widescreen and the 2d graphics in regular mode streched. so far all my games work without a problem. the zelda games have the heat wave glitch but thats not really a problem ocne you are past the fire dungeons. also they have pop in models at the edges but that does not really pose as a problem since you are focused on the gameplay anyway.
other games like second sight or PN03 work like a charm with this feature and stealth games actually benefit from it since you can now see better around the corners. i have yet to experience a problem with any game and it really is a big upgrade playing your game with a steady framerate and in widescreen (again, second sight comes to mind which benefits greatly, looks very good and runs smoothly in widescreen, something not even the PC version managed to do despite having a higher resolution).

sorry i cant be of more help but as said, i am sure there are people out there who can help you with that by either recompiling the sample loader with this feature on or providing another method of doing that.

downloading ...
supposedly the widescreen patch was implemented in previous versions, too, there was just no way to turn it on because the sample loader didn't have the option ... nor did any other loader for that matter but the loader.bin was perfectly willing to accept the request for widescreen if someone turned it on.

Anyway, the PSX controlled support might be adding the new libsicksaxis using PS3 controller wirelessly. If it's the same as other homebrew that uses it you have to press the PS button on the PS3 controller and - and + on the wiimote to make it search for new controllers. You could try that but I personally ddon't have any PS3 stuff to test.

At least looks like he's GETTING READY to include alternative control methods in game even if he hasn't gotten there yet.

The widescreen setting was added in r142, along with the noLED setting, but didn't work fine.
You could enabled them in the sample loader by compiling it with the setting forced, or like Ezekiel said use another loader which has that setting available to beta testers since r142 release (but hidden to prevent bug reports from users).
If it's reported as working fine now, I'll unhide it.

By checking the sources, Tueidj added support in the sample loader for:
PSX over USB*, GameCube, Wiimote, Classic Controller.
*VID_0810 and PID_0003, which is probably a PS2 to USB adapter.
(0810/0001 is the Twin USB Vibration or this revision, 0003 is certainly another model, I didn't find the product picture yet)

So what about a widescreen option for the other USB loaders, GX and CFG?

And about the PSX USB adapter, I actually own one for DDR mats (don't actually own any PSX pads however). It's not the same model, but it is EXTREMELY similar to the one on Amazon - heck the shape of the device is exactly the same (the color and labeling are different however). I'll definitely test that out today...

I also own a classic controller to USB adapter. I think I'll try that too for lulz. :P

EDIT:
That URL has hotlink issues, so I re-uploaded said image to imgur:

EDIT 2: Nope, neither USB adapter of mine worked. Man, I really wanted to play F-Zero GX with a DDR pad too! :P (no seriously, I did) For reference, the USB adapters are these:
PSX: http://www.mayflash.com/?Products/PCUSB/PC038.html
Wii: http://www.mayflash.com/?Products/PCUSB/PC052.html

EDIT 3: I'm a noodle, I just realized that I ONLY tested in the sample loader. Never crossed my mind that they could work in-game and NOT on the loader. Also I forgot to test with every controller & USB port arrangement possible.

EDIT 4:
Is that not just a Mayflash Super Dual Box but with generic branding?:

EDIT 5: Uhhh... not only could I not get my Super Dual Box Pro to work, but I can't even get a normal USB keyboard to work (even though it works on the Internet Channel). I even tried hitting ctrl+alt+tab but it still didn't do anything (though the num/caps/scroll lock lights would toggle on & off so it was connected fine).

Just added the new patches, widescreen patch and activity led to wiiflow, if something doesnt work there then life with it :P

You can set the settings per game.

Thank you very much for the Wiiflow update Fix94! How exactly does one enable the new widescreen patch? I've updated my WiiFlow (boot.dol) and Devolution (loader.bin) files, flushed my WiiFlow cache, and I can see the new buttons for the activity LEDs. However, toggling the widescreen patch (found on I believe options page 5 of 6) still gives me a stretched 4:3 image. Is there something that I may have missed in configuring my setup?

I guess not every game can use the patch, I only tested the wind waker yet, which looks awesome with the patch btw.

Hopefully the widescreen patch isn't coded for individual games... as you may already know I use Midway Arcade Treasures 3 as my "go to" game for Devolution, and it's not a well known game - especially the GameCube version (due to the framerate issues that Devolution solves).

I tested it on my entire library and it works on every game. some results are more obvious than others. Also, 2D art is streched and the zelda shaders give some glitches (screen heat distortion and water) but nothing unplayable. So as far as i can tell, it is a general widescreen patch^^

I just installed devolution today (I used the link for source download on page 1 of this forum) and used cleanrip to put starfox adventures (PAL) on my harddrive now im trying to load the game up via usbloader gx and im getting 4 flashes and it returns me to the homebrew channel whats this about? the game loads fine with dios mios

Well it's not that the game doesn't work in Devolution since it does indeed work beginning with r160; you are using the newest revision, r188, right?

Anyway, 4 blinks? That's an odd one - I don't think I've ever heard of that occuring. Have you tried the typical, such as disabling any mod chips, using another usb drive, an sd card, and/or manually checking the SHA-1 checksum if it is truly a clean rip?

You can always try doing a wifi log and maybe we could pick out some info on the issue, but most of us don't really know what the wifi logs are actually saying...
