On a side note, the group dynamic around here is fascinating....
Probably because you're being a . First you tried to blame your non-working games on the AP, even though you didn't have any logs because you don't have a USB gecko. Then when I provide an alternative logging method, you claim it's a security risk even though I've already explained it won't send information outside your local network. You are not helping improve the app at all, you are simply trolling this thread.
Except that the only one who can actually improve this app is you and by ignoring suggestions and questions you are not helping improve the app at all, you are simply trolling people who wants to help.
Oh shit, are you gonna take that?! :rofl2:
In all seriousness however, indeed you need to improve the app, no one else but you can do so.

This is correct. Many of the responses have been unhelpful or dismissive. While I may have been critical, I have tried to help others as much as I can. However, I am rather limited in that capacity.

Tueidj, why Devolution can not recognize original MC cards?Is it a known issue or my bad luck?
Did you try the loader SifJar posted?
I tried it, and it works flawlessly with the real MC.

Also, if anyone wants it here is the sample loader for r100 compiled with memory card emulation disabled (I think). Haven't tried it, but I believe it will work: http://d.pr/f/clFw (download the official release from the 1st post and replace boot.dol with this one)

EDIT: All I did was change this line in main.c:
Code:
DEVO_CONFIG->memcard_cluster = st.st_ino;
to this:
Code:
DEVO_CONFIG->memcard_cluster = 0;
I assume that is all that is necessary from the comment before this line
Thx man.

How helpful is it when a user can't follow instructions?
If you wish to report a bug make sure you have a log from a USB gecko. Saying "Game XXX doesn't work" does not help anyone.

Future purpose of this thread
- Notification of updates/new releases
- Reporting of bugs (with logs!)

And I have given you a better option and instead of utilizing it (where's the log for star wars?) you've instead complained about it.
Logs will be posted for problematic games when I am able. It will take a while before I can set things up for logging.

Just uploaded wiiflow r594:
http://www.mediafire...dt8ppc3yxpp1pxx
The option to disable memory card emulation should work perfectly now (at least for me the problems are all gone).
Thanks FIX94.... though I never noticed that it was not working before. My third-party cards were working AFAIK. There was a report of a user with first-party cards having an issue with the card coming up as corrupted.

@[member='tueidj']:
Do you have some changelog posted somewhere? It would interest me what you change in those revs.
Thanks a lot,Fix!!!I will try it as soon as possible!

changelogs are normally either uninteresting or misinterpreted by end users, for example:
- fix r2,r13 access by early apploaders
- add configuration option for wifi logging
- fix regression in remove_pte()
- fix reboot to HBC
- add wifi logging, broadcast to port 64444
- fix unusable memcards in slot B

Thanks, I dont see what can be misinterpreted there, you added some cool new log option and fixed memcards in slot B, the other changes are loader internal and fix booting and other things :P

Unfortunately,the problem is not gone,at least for me.I am sure that I disabled MC emulation in the game settings.Again,the message displayed is "the MC is damaged" using Wiiflow r594.
I am using a 1059 MC in slot A and a 256 one in slot B.Both are originals.

hey guys, bba emulation is broadband adapter?
so, i can play phantasy star online o homeland?

sorry i am a fuckin noob xD

see ya!

So stop complaining, you're not helping the author in anything.
When you have the log and show here then you will be helping.

Troll... where is the link?
That's not true, I have various first party/original MCs and since Devo was released I used them with It and has not been corrupted.
Some have reportedly a game asked to format it but that is because they are not using the real MC they are using the emulated MC... and in the first attempt the game ask to format it (emulatedMC).
Sorry for my bad english.

No need to call people names, especially when it is false.

With regard to security, would you allow someone else's application with complete network and security access on your own personal Wii?
If he hadn't told you, you wouldn't have known. By which I mean, any other application you run could be accessing your network without your knowledge. Thanks to HW_AHBPROT, they can also gain access to pretty much everything on your Wii without you knowing. Just saying ;)

Dunno if this makes any difference but "setting things up" for logging takes only a few seconds. All you need to do is grab netcat for your OS and run one command in a command line/terminal, then run the game as normal. (If you already knew this, feel free to disregard this. I just post in case you think it'll take a while to set things up ;) )

The card wasn't actually corrupted there, it was just that games running under Devolution saw it as corrupted (it still worked loading games via disc or DM). Don't think there is any (more) risk of corruption from Devolution (than any other method of loading games).
