The “lore” was hidden within giant walls of text in the first game and is just so scattered throughout the second that I’m concerned there may be a drug problem within Bungies walls.
Less a drug problem, more of a "I need next year's yacht yesterday" problem. The contempt bungie has for fans is only compounded by their hold on the "dude brah" market to the point that those idiots took their claim of inventing twin stick controls for console fps to heart, and will just beat up anyone that says or demonstrates otherwise.

Anything to not have to make Destiny 3 I guess
For our sakes, I hope this flop chokes present Bungie like a dark matter boat anchor.

Ah yes that famous launch into the stratosphere, the proud moment when a AAA title branches off into mobile. Always a shining victory, that one.
I’M SURE THIS WILL BE A PROUD CHOICE THAT BUNGIE WILL LOOK BACK ON FONDLY.

Yeah because the story was already so clear for everyone playing
Tried getting into it, couldn't understand a single thing despite trying, and then I got told by Destiny players that they don't get shit either

Also there already was so many leaks about that thing lol, idk who is this meant for but whatever
Yeah the problem is them "sunsetting" content. They have seasonal storylines they drip feed week by week. You get five minutes of storyline one day a week and are expected to grind out the activities around that season that are just old pve game modes with that season's textures added onto objects and enemies.

Then when a new season comes out, seasonal content that's three cycles old is locked away. Those seasons are part of the over-arching lore, so if you come in late you get neither the gameplay or story or gear from back then (a good chunk of text lore is also attached to items by examining them and reading flavor text on the stat screens, like multiple paragraphs of information). You can get the main and DLC storylines (which they also do some removal and retcon of and mix in the original D1 storyline, ugh.), but after that you're thrown into a contextual void. Imagine watching season one of a TV show and then you're forced to skip ahead to season 9 and everyone keeps alluding to huge story points that happened in 2 through 8 and if you want to know everything you have to go watch a 4-hour lore video.
