If you have any computer engineering background I recommend giving this article a read. It is very exciting to see someone go through all the effort to depackage the cpu like this. Please do not contact this person, as they are doing it for fun. This is a hobby for them, as it is for me.

According to the vocal majority I guess now we have the BootROM and can hack everything.

They have not yet successfully dumped the boot ROM.

Regardless, it is fascinating to watch and I wish them luck on further RE of the CPU.
 
Article says 6-10 ;-)

Didn't the decappers who scammed the various temps (glad i wasn't one of them) claim the 3ds processor had 10-20? So no real surprise here.

if i remember correctly, they said they are going to try to decap 4-6 but there could be more. ($50 per layer i think)
