Again, I understand your point. GM9 was easy and intuitive for me because, well, it just was. It wasn't because I used it a whole lot (I haven't still used it that much), and it isn't because I read instructions (I did not until recently which just confirmed usage).Again, as I was saying, to you it's simple just because you have used it before, to you it's easy because you are experienced with it and know what to do.
But that is not true for the average user. Having had to teach many people how to do some of the most basic functions like Print on a computer, I have seen how something that is obvious to someone with experience in a product can be confusing to those who are not experienced in it.
As I and others have pointed out, in DM9 all your menu options are just plain right there, and they are in a way where they made perfect sense for me my first time using it. Sysnand options all are an option on the main menu, Emunand options are all there on the main menu, Cart Dumping options are all there on the main menu, etc etc etc.
The very first step you mentioned "find the file" will be confusing to many, ESPECIALLY the concept of even knowing that you have to look for a file and not a "dump cart" or "dump nand" option... and then to know you have to select the file on the top screen and then see that it is selected on the bottom screen. Again, to you, because you are experienced in using it, this is simple... but to anyone who has NOT used it, it is a confusing mess.
Furthermore the fact that to dump a game you have to "select a file" (even this concept, that the cart is represented as a virtual file, will be confusing to others)... but to dump the nand you don't, first you have to even KNOW that a home menu exists, and then know that the nand dumping is under "More...".
To anyone who has not used either DS9 or GM9, GM9 is not going to be straightforward, at ALL. Like I said, your viewpoint is skewed because you have been using it, you can't see the viewpoints of others who have not used it.

It was literally updated 2 days ago for bootstrap 1.1/1.2 compatibility, and of course, stability improvements (https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases/tag/20170607). Other than that, what features do you think it still needs, or that you would like to see in it?I do wish Decrypt9 was still being maintained. GodMode9 might do everything Decrypt9 does, but it's more a tool for experts, whereas Decrypt9 is more for intermediate users. Most things are easier and faster to do in Decrypt9.
For example, dumping/injecting friendsave.bin, nnidsave.bin etc., in Decrypt9 you have those options easily available whereas in GodMode9 you have to know exactly where the files are located and what they're called (no they're not normally called friendsave.bin and nnidsave.bin, they're just numerical names, and they are pretty hard to remember) in order to dump/inject them, or you have to Google the filenames every time.
Even as someone experienced with the various 3DS hacks and homebrew, I still find that to be a hassle that I would rather avoid if possible.
Selecting the game cart, CTRNAND etc. in order to dump it is intuitive and simple enough, it's just that certain more specialized tasks are much more easily accessible in Decrypt9.

same, i don't see any emunand options so if i want to restore i can't but luckily there is an unofficial d9 for b9s 1.2 here it is https://gbatemp.net/threads/compile...otu-for-boot9strap-v-1-2.473197/#post-7369898.3DS files are padded. CIA files are not padded.
I use both. Didn't see any EmuNAND options in GM9. Also I find it quicker to some things in D9.

There's nothing in the app that tells you this. You only know because you have used it before.uwotm8?
Which part of going to a file, copy and paste over another file is hard?
Its a file explorer. Like, i dont know... WINDOWS EXPLORER? Even MacOS surely has a file explorer wih copy paste function.
Uh, knowing which file is the one you're looking for?uwotm8?

Of course you wouldnt. Thats why you read manuals and read tutorials. There's nothing in the app that tells you this. You only know because you have used it before.
Instruction: Copy this serialinfo_a and paste over the one in such pathUh, knowing which file is the one you're looking for?
1:/sys/rw/SecureInfo_A doesn't sound to me like a typical file that's read and written often...
And certainly it doesn't suggest it contains serial number and region settings

Of course you wouldnt. Thats why you read manuals and read tutorials.
And yet so many people misinject the h&s app into fbi instead of the other way around during a9lh era.View attachment 89468 This is why we are saying D9 and the like are so good - they are intuitive, nobody ever needed a manual or tutorial to work out how to do what they needed to do. This sentence has basically just proved everyone else's point lol.

That wouldn't be possible. FBI is not a NAND app. You can't inject anything into it. If you mean they reinjected the hs.app into the injected FBI - then that means they successfully injected FBI to start with, and they managed to put H&S back, which is exactly what they were supposed to do...And yet so many people misinject the h&s app into fbi instead of the other way around during a9lh era.
Apparently they did. You can try it now yourself. D9 didnt do such check whether its a valid app or not. That wouldn't be possible. FBI is not a NAND app. You can't inject anything into it. But it isn't even an option to be able to do that. Unless they forked D9 and reprogrammed it to get that option (and the option wouldn't even do anything) there's no way they could do that.Apparently they did. You can try it now yourself. D9 didnt do such check whether its a valid app or not.

The fact that a manual for the use of GodMode9 only appeared once D9 stopped being used should be a bit of a clue. In all of the two years that a9lh was around, there was never a D9 or HG9 or E9 manual. They were not needed, even with all the thousands of noobs - people with zero prior experience with any of the tools. But suddenly now that GM9 is the only tool - we get one. Do you really think that's a coincidence?Btw, i cant really accept it when youre saying d9 is so intuitive, you dont need anyone (or any tutorial) to tell what to do. You have already gotten used to d9, of course you would know what option does what, which menu is which.
