Yes I agree with every word you've written in upper post (they are codding completely new firmware, it MUST be tough job!! so, yes, everything is possible), but I'm trying to answer Thug4L1f3 and back my answer with some arguments..
I see M3 Real as a rally good cart, someone who is using CycloDS for long time, and used it before Real, could be dissapointed, because Cyclo has really great, and responsive GUI..
But I'm trying to say that Real is a good option as it has a new firmware soon to come, it has some very nice options (especially the Perfect bundle), the current firmware looks great, the best of all carts to me, but it is slow(er)..Someone is bothered by that and someone isn't..To me it isn't a big deal..

Thanks for the opinions guys I am considering keeping my Simply and using the Real once I get a larger sdhc card. I am also very interested in the Sakura firmware, so that'll be a bonus when it's available in finished state.

As for the itouchDS, I have tried the card very briefly tonight and it's very basic, but has a nice interface and seemed to have no lag in menus or loading games etc. I only tried Neves and Castlevania PoR. A good card but I'd wait for the full review by Opium before grabbing one.

Well the Sakura GUI will negate any comments saying the Real is slower than the CycloDS.
^__^
When its released and stable, sure.

However, smart consumers don't base such decisions on promises.

EDIT: Its also not just slower than the CycloDS. The M3 Real is by far the slowest cart in the entire market.

Well he isn't a "consumer" basing buying some card.
He actually owns the M3 DS Real. So he will eventually get to use such a feature.
He wasn't looking for a "consumer decision".

And I fail to see how it's the slowest card in the market. Where's your citing reference?
I fail to see that you've done any research.

indeed
there probably a lot slower ones if you search on youtube

its not the fastest but not the slowest either
in between but sakura will fix it...

I assume since he's asking which to use, that he plans on selling the rest.

Are you joking?

I've used every card on the market (except for the iTouch), and own most of them. Four of the official GBAtemp reviews were written by me when I was staff.

Find the reviewer of the GBAtemp reviews of EDGE, Acekard 2.... You should know that Urza was the one who made reviews for some of the review on GBAtemp... Obviously, YOU haven't done any research.

Also for speed, compared to DSTT, Cyclo, EDGE, Acekard 2, Acekard R.P.G, and even to R4, it's the slowest.

I believe he is talking about the SDHC market.

A thing I agree on is that the Sakura will most likely fix the problems of the M3 real.

I actually have read the reviews. But I clearly see them as being far from "in depth research".
Anyone can write a review in all honesty.

I mean as in scientifically testing the cards (not guesstimating "average times").

So for right now he can only say "I can guess that the Acekard 2 is faster then the M3 Real off of prior use",
not the "M3 IS the slowest card on the market."

That's what I meant, in case it was hard to comprehend.

And I have mentioned Sakura many a time as being the solution.
Thus negating your assertion that the card itself is slower. It's just the firmware that is.

Why would I waste my time?

I have eyes, its quite apparent which is faster. If you think I'm lying, then so be at. Theres no reason I should have to prove anything to you if you don't want to take my word at face value.

We're not scientists here. Just a community trying to keep each other informed.

Exactly, like I said, I was just making note that there wasn't "definitive" evidence of said slowness.
Unless somebody does a controlled time test. *would be interesting*.

Your reviews are interesting though, Urza! ^__^
It's good to look at the various reviews of cards, and compare them.

You got you're point NeoGunKuruma, I don't believe that cart is slow, but firmware has it's problems..

@PharaohsVizier: Could you maybe send another mail to M3 team after the deadline, if they don't release Sakura on time? And ask them, when will it come!

There really aren't any limits imposed by flashcart hardware that would hinder menu speed, so when I say "the M3 Real is slow", I'm obviously referring to how it performs with the loader on it (I imagine it wouldn't work so well without).
