I have a O3DS XL and i was wondering if i should upgrade to a N3DS XL or should i just wait for the switch, and are there any benefits besides higher cpu clock speeds, face tracking etc.

Another big plus is emulators. N3DS runs most of them WAY better than an o3ds. The bigger screen is really nice too. Either way, if youre gonna get one, might wanna do it soom before they start shipping them to stores on 11.3.

I would make the switch first priority, but if you have enough buy a used n3ds as well. The facetracking makes 3d mode actually usable most of the time. Plus you get more system resources to use with homebrew, giving you better compatibility withi NTR, including streaming the screen to PC. Plus depending on the game, you can make games that used to run with lower framerates on o3ds run better on n3ds.

As a o3ds xl owner which upgraded this week

1 - Eye tracking is a dream, now I can finally use 3d which on old 3ds I ended up leaving off. Eye tracking makes games which require moving your 3ds like fatal frame, mario & luigi rpg 4 and starfox 64 playable in 3d.

2 - For some reason battery life seems better

3 - c analog and zl/zr

4 - volume slider is outside grip, in a place where you can't move accidentally

5 - snes vc

6 - I got the one which resembles carbon fiber (grey, though I bought as black) that thing is BEAUTIFUL!

Just bought the n3dsxl after using the o3dsxl for 3 year

I think its worth to upgrade especially if you get a second hand in low price

I got mine just only $130 ( A9LH + Luma3DS 32GB Upper Screen IPS)

The 3d is really great and overall performance is quite better too

I'm so pumped, NCAA football video game is back after a 10 year hiatus, coming to SeriesS/X, PS5 in July.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Wish they would let us play the NCAA football 14 on newer xbox, its one of the only games I love and own on disc still, that is not back compatible, bs.

@BigOnYa My dad recently bought a spare Series X off of me, got game pass, and saw Madden '24 on Game Pass, decided to try it out.

...He was a bit taken aback by the 60GB download size. Poor guy's still living in the 90s!

Lol charging your dad's classic unless he's the type that doesn't like taking things like that
  • AdenTheThird @ AdenTheThird:
@K3Nv2 He was looking into consoles for his house anyway (for my younger siblings and himself) and I had a spare XSX and Switch I ended up selling him at pretty steep cuts. I would just give them to him, but I did buy them with the intent to sell them... and college is super expensive.
