I ordered an Xbox 360 wireless dongle for Windows so I could play games using my wireless 360 gamepads. They were 20 dollars less on DX than on Amazon, and I've ordered plenty of stuff from DX in the past and never had a problem. Anyway it's been nearly a month since I ordered my device, and it still hasn't shipped. It took them nearly 2 weeks to respond to my complaint, and the response I got was just a generic form letter telling me they had received my item and will ship it immediately. That was over 3 days ago, and there is still no indication of it being packed or shipped. I know they had Chinese new year or some big holiday last month and things get delayed, but this is just ridiculous. Just wanted to vent, and hoping that bad publicity will help get them in gear. I just want my 11 dollar piece of chinese plastic!
Anyone else having problems with them right now?

Heres some proof:

This is normal for DX. They have rather shady business practices. Ive ordered a few things that said they were in stock but once you purchased it they say they're waiting for supplier which took almost 2 months for me to get a USB to DS charger for $2. Another card i ordered from them too ended up never shipping and I got a refund all while the product page said the item was in stock.

Thats how DX is dude.
I ordered a replacement housing for Xbox 360 more than a month ago.
Surprisingly arrived today lol.

I know, it's just frustrating. I am pretty patient, its just I upgraded my video card last month, and I've been dying to play games like Super Meat Boy, Braid, and a bunch of others. Even if they ship it out today, I'm still looking at another 2-3 weeks for the mail to arrive, by then it will be nearly 2 months. That is kind of bogus, but at least I'm only out 11 bucks. It's the principal of the matter that bothers me.

Dealextreme is a good shop, but unfortunately they rely on some (not all of them) crappy suppliers.

on about an hundred order (I started ordering on 2008) only two were so hopelessly stuck I had to cancel them...

I tried many chinese websites, I always come back to DX, because in almost every of those chinese website they work the same way you may think one of those site is faster because they shipped your order the next day you ordered : you are just lucky... I see complains about shipping times in every of those websites...
And DX is actually one of the few who has an excellent forum and a pretty good customer service (compared to the average chinese website customer service).

You get what you pay for, dude. They probably make like $1 off of each item sold. You want it faster, pay more. Otherwise, get it cheap and slow. I remember they had the best deal on an AK2i when I bought one(they don't sell em anymore, but their price still hasn't been topped by any other retailer) and it took a good 2 or 3 weeks to get here. Not that I wouldn't buy from them again if the savings were significant, but if I had the money, I'd buy elsewhere.

dude it probably leaves china on a boat, you can't expect to get it next day.

Hell even american air mail to europe can still take 14 days + so china to wherever you are would probably do something similar

It's always like that with Dealextreme.

Heck, my orders typically arrive in 3 weeks to 1 month, and I live in Singapore, which is considered rather close to Hong Kong (Where Dealextreme is based)

They have good support, excellent prices and free shipping to top it off. All this good is offset with a waiting time of ridiculous proportions and sometimes unreliable products.

But hey, nothing's perfect right?

Just give em a break guys, they sell stuff for really low prices with free shipping and its not allways their fault when a supplier doesnt get the shit to them.

As I said, I've ordered stuff from them in the past and never had an issue, the 2-3 week shipping time is to be expected and isn't what my current complaint is about. It's been over a month now, and it still hasn't SHIPPED, i.e. left they're warehouse. I would be happy if it had tooken 3 weeks to get here, because I would have had it by now, as it stands, I am looking at about 2 months wait after I ordered my product that it should be arriving, assuming they ship it today, which it looks like they aren't.

It wouldn't be so bad if their customer service was real service and not some poorly-written form with an English female name attached (all their forum moderators and customer service people have common English girl names).

So yeah, 2-3 weeks is fine, great even. But 2 months? With no real answers? Thats shitty business practice.

Dealextreme does take a long time, but in the end, I'm always satisfied. One time, my order got lost /somewhere/. I just emailed them about it and sent the stuff again but with registered+express mail.

I probably should send them a message then...I've kind of been hanging out for the past three months waiting for my orders to arrive.
o_o

That's probably the worst I've heard.

I've gotten from 3 to 6 weeks before, but it never topped 2 months... Guess that's what you get from a site like DX. Ridiculously cheap, but worth it when it finally arrives.

I've ordered dozens of things from them.

Some arrive quickly and some... well let's say I'm still waiting on my PSP replacement case 2 months after ordering it. ha

Only once I've had to get something replaced and they were very quick to respond and replace the items.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
