Hardware DD-WRT Client Bridge and AP?

I have a; unique, network setup. I have a Linksys E3000 with DD-WRT installed and I need to connect to a 5GHz network with it for a few devices, I have done this and it works good most the time. Now I would like to setup a different 2.4GHz AP on the other antenna for it, this is where the problem lies. I can not get my phone to connect to the AP that I set up at all, it shows up and it can attempt to connect but it never works. The AP disappears for a moment when I attempt to connect with my phone. How could I set this up?
