My unmodded ofw switch won't connect to wifi unless it's open.
WPA2 AES will work on my custom fw switch not this.

Tried 5ghz, 2.5ghz also and the other options not the enterprise ones though.

This switch on my phone and other devices work if I turn off security and run a open network, but once I turn any kind of security on it shows the usual error and won't connect.

Putting in network details manually it connects to the router but that's it, won't go further.

Tried 2 routers and my phones hotspot.
Cleared the cache in recovery mode.
LAN cable works and a open wi-fi network.
I updated the system in wired mode thinking wifi may have been potentiality older buggy firmware.

Haven't tried a factory reset.

Switch hadn't been used for a while and had been turned off.

I have a switch with custom fw that occasionally behaves similar to what you're describing. It will connect to my Wifi network, but doesn't really provide a connection. I can't even ping the switch from any device from my network even though it has an IP address. The only way to get it out of this weird state for me is to clear the Internet settings and re-enter the Wifi credentials, then it will work again.
