So how did you decrypt your save?

Nothing to do with the exploit but maybe proposing someone look into this SSL bug. Would never suggest it for a private key retrieval. Just saying it may be relevant to GTS.

If I had gateway, would I be able to use the new version of PKHeX when/if you release it? For example, could I decrypt my save, edit it, then sign it properly if I had gateway? Or do you need a hacked 3ds beyond what gateway allows you to do?

The next version of PKHeX (currently) supports loading, viewing, and editing of totally decrypted save files -- still testing.

The 3DS has to be able to run its own code for re-signing... so beyond whatever gateway can do. Obtaining XORpads/resigning requires precise use of the AES engine, which only Datel (and maybe some other people, privately) can do.

so a novice/noob such as I, with an extra 3ds laying around, and extra pokemon x/y carts laying around would not be capable of allot of what your saying ?

Correct. Until someone comes along and offers a public version of what powersaves does, you're out of luck.

im not sure if this was mentioned before, i have only been keeping track of this server since page 120 ish. but i saw on a gts upload site that nintendo will be shutting down key servers for connecting gen4/5 games to online sources ? by may 21st. ?

They'll probably be working up until May 31st (that's when gamespy shuts them down), but yes. They'll be going down by the end of May.

Which means no more online play, no more GTS - even fakeGTS delivery.
