Well they said that the new GUI was going into alpha testing in a few weeks on the 23rd. So basically I didn't even expect it to be in BETA stage since most people won't understand the difference between a stable and a BETA release, not to mention alpha. Imagine all the complaints

I just noticed this when haflore linked to this thread. When I got home earlier I noticed TC had some downtime, and this is often the cause.

Sadly SMT SJ still froze on me while exiting the menu real quick,gonna try an untrimmed version.....

I wasn't aware there was any problems with SMT. Battery saver off, no cheats, untrimmed. Never froze once.

Saves fine but there are random black screens for me,oddly enough the untrimmed version gets white screens(for me anyway) trimmed loads up but randomly freezes,might try to format my memory card to see if that does the trick if that fails guess i need to try another dump.....

I also expected the new GUI in the next beta, but any new firmware is a good firmware, as long as it doesn't break anything.

I'm suprised, usually the forums don't go down along with the CycloDS website.

EDIT: After leaving the computer for a bit, I just thought of something. If the forums and stie are down, how did people get this beta? Or did it come out before the crash?

What happens is the beta is released, then a lot of people download it which causes the site to crash. So there are a number of people who managed to grab the beta before the site went down, and hopefully they will mirror it on GBAtemp for us.

Ok it seems to be working now after a format,I can't 100% confirm it yet as I havn't had alot of time to test it,but after the format the untrimmed version loaded up and I played for alittle bit (maybe 15-20 mins or so) and it hasn't froze so its looking good at the moment.....

There is a copy on Revolution; I can download it and put it on FileTrip if it isn't already.

Already is, so I don't need to bother.

SMT SJ still locks up.... back to akaio for me till this gets resolved

Yeah it still locks up, what a shame. Hopefully the team checks other websites while their server is down
