Homebrew Custom Theme Thread

Can't speak for that guy, but for me, running the application results in a crash. Red screen on the bottom, black on the top.
Replace your boot.3dsx on the root of your SD card with this one http://www31.zippyshare.com/v/Mf15R6Sn/file.htm the new one has some compatibility issues, this one works with nearly every app.

Just one more question, where can I get started MAKING themes? Cause I wanna make an Organization XIII theme.
Here ya go my friend! https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-yet-another-theme-application-plus-yata-3ds-theme-editor.393355/ :yay: I'll be looking forward to that theme!

Are you using Custom Home Menu Manager? Found here? https://gbatemp.net/threads/chmm-custom-homemenu-manager.379349/ If not, use it. If so, then put it in a folder inside of a "Themes" folder on the root of your SD card.

"No Theme Recognised", Crimson, got any ideas?

Edit: I think I worked out the issue, I'll report back

Okay, I figured that out, but now I'm getting "Error: [string "?"]:91 error writing file.

To carry on the question chain...

Whenever I launch CHMM, it goes back to the homebrew menu. Any advice? I already got the latest updates and the 'themes' folder is on the root of the sd card

Hey, how do you change the color of the Home Menu Settings, Enlarge Icons, and Shrink Icons button as well as the bottom window saying what each icon does?
Should be in "Theme Settings" in Yata+ :)

Try using it while on the default theme. (The plain white one) The same happened to me. :)

No idea, that's never happened to me before. If you want I'll search around for a bit.

That worked... Sort of... I now have my theme installed, and what has resulted from it I can only describe as Satanic.

The bottom screen's image is all messed up, and the music sounds like Satan screaming. RIP
Any idea what the issue could be? I made it, so I've probably messed up somewhere.

Edit: I found the cause of the messed up bottom screen, still no clue about the music.

If that's not too much trouble, sure
I'll try :)
I mean which boxes or flags do I check?
Depends on what you want to use, I usually have everything checked besides enable text/solid/outer screen color.

:rofl2: Can you screenshot your theme setup (I assume you used Yata+) like what boxes do you have enabled? :)

I fixed the issue with the bottom screen, it's just the music that's fucked up now ):

It's probably worth noting that the file size for the music looks way off. 796kb.

Yeah no, that's does sound off. What tool did you use to convert it, and what source file type did you use? .mp3 .wav or .flac etc?

I used YATA, source file being WAV. Also, I just booted up the theme, and it turns out I didn't actually fix the bottom screen. Thought I had ):
