Modified a set to make these, hope they'll work for you.
Themes are region free in the ways I've seen them, haven't run into a region issue at all.
Themes work with 9.9 firmware, yeah. Changing the colors and YATA, still experimenting with that myself.

I think I have a problem (or maybe I did something wrong) with CHMM.

I use Ninjhax 2.0, and CHMM not recognize any theme. The files are located in SD:/3DS/CHMM/Themes/MyThemeName/.

It happens on both my console (O3DS 9.5.0-22E and 2DS 9.9.0-26E).

I have the feeling that he had simply forgotten something, but not sure what.

If you have CHMM 1.4, you need to place the files like Gateway users. So, be sure that the Themes folder is at the root of your SD card! [emoji6]

@Irumi` , you simply have to make the Themes folder at root of SD, not where you have them. For some reason you do that with ninjhax 2.0 even though CHMM says differently in the directions.

EDIT: SomeGamer was faster, hah.

Now I have a question.
How can I edit themes with animated top screens like Ace Attorney Mood Matrix or MH4U Gore & Seregios?

Thank you both. I was not aware of this peculiarity of CHMM 1.4. I was accustomed to the path that I used always, that I never thought of having to use the path for GW users.

Yes. But why not update to 9.9?

I just haven't bothered updating, I only update when I absolutely have too. it's also good if there's a new exploit in the future, usually requires older firmware.

What's the best or easiest way for me to get a custom theme installed? on my 9.8 with sky3ds?

I don't have a Sky, so these instructions may not be fully accurate![emoji1]
1. Get Cubic Ninja on your Sky.
2. smealum.github.io/ninjhax2
3. Get CHMM 1.4 here:
http://rinnegatamante.it/site/works.php
Unpack zip to the root of your SD card in your 3DS.
4. Create a Themes folder in the root of the SD in your 3DS.
5. Put theme files into subfolders of the Themes folder.

It works with Sky3DS, I did exactly the same thing with mine
