So, what do you do if you don't have IOS249 listed? There are a dozen other ones listed:

IOS36, 37, 38, 50, 51, 53, 55, 60, 61, 254, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 28, 30, 31, 33, 34, 35.

But, no 249 or 250.

Is it me or does installing rev12 makes the game load SLOWER than with rev9/10?

I remember when I was playing Animal Crossing with rev9/10 and I love it so much because it loads so fast than play via disc (it's like I was playing AC from the GCN version).

Now when I play AC with rev12 it's like I'm back to playing via disc. I tried other games like Mario Kart Wii (which usually loads fast even via disc) and Super Smash Bros. Brawl (which loads SLOW via disc) are also loading slower than with rev9/10.

But yeah, all my USB device like the keyboard, WiiSpeak, LAN adapter are working wonderful. I'm guessing this is a trade off?

Okay, I don't have any of the latest cIOSs because I've never had an HDD. But I recently burned Excitebots and I got the Error 2.

This will fix it right?

Is their any chance of my SM (3.2u), Preloader (.28) or anything of the sort getting bricked?

Honestly, why even bother with CIOSCORP anymore? It confuses the BootMii installer and USB loading is far superior to playing games at 3x speed from the disc channel anyway.

...Because not everybody wants to load games using USB

Is this your first time installing cIOS?

If it is, I think you're supposed to use IOS38 (You used IOS36 in the last versions, but as said in the release notes, it uses IOS38 now)

I can't download it, get an error message saying the site that you requested is being held in another castle, can someone provide a link please? thanks

This fixes the need for a disk in the drive to play deadly creatures.

Also to anyone having hard drive issues. If your hard drive is the kind that is powered through usb and has 2 usb plugs you have to make sure that the data/power plug goes in the right hand usb port and the power plug goes into the the left hand side usb port. Its that way if your looking at the usb ports from the back of the wii not the front.

I tried it both ways and switching them the other way the loader will not detect the hard drive at all.

Has anyone tried to extract IOS249/250 by Wad Creator after installing cIOS38rev12?

I got ret=-1017 error. Any idea?

Thanks.

Well i wont be updating it NEVER or supporting it, If anyone else decides to do it, it would be kindof unless sense the usb loader came out.

can anyone else confirm whether this is true or not? if so then I'm not updating since I'm loving the speed with the loader with Brawl and Animal Crossing

Thanks.

You have an old IOS/cIOS.
Get rid of IOS249 with AnyTitle_Deleter if that won't help - seach the forums for 1017.

can I use cIOS Uninstaller to remove the IOS249 as well?

I was extracting the IOSes, not installing them......

I don't see IOS249 to select to install, so I selected IOS38 then network installation it was going fine then Install ERROR ret = -2011, Finishing Installation, please wait... OK!
so did it install correctly? thanks

EDIT: I uninstalled IOS249 with cIOS Uninstaller v1.1 then installed rev12 using IOS 38 but got the ret = -2011 error, so I reinstalled rev10 then installed rev12 using IOS249 and it installed correctly without any errors, so in my case I didn't need to uninstall cIOS249 at all
