In the last few cIOS releases, the disk channel would freeze when you run your system menu off of IOS249.
In rev 14, it doesn't freeze.
Just patching your system menu to use IOS249 doesn't mean you can run backups through the disk channel, though. To do that, you also have to patch your games to use IOS249 (I think)
