Hacking Current DSi flashcarts working with European DSi

Hi Guys

Just need some advice. Just got a European DSi and wondered whether its worth getting an Acekard2i or waiting to see what happens with the current DSi flashcarts. I already have a DS Slot-1 that works fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just ordered a Acekard2i in the end from DealExtreme. Hopefully it should arrive soon once they restock. Thought I would update to 1.3E just to get the browser and 1000 points. Anyone bought WarioWare for 500?

if i buy like a AKi ... will the dsi update the firmware automaticly ? and how do i prevent that ?
also can i do that without entering the dsi-shop
And if i can stop the dsi from updating the official firmware can i update my dsi with an unofficial firmware ?

I went to Gamestation today to try out the DSi, But better still they allowed me to try my DSTTi card on the system.


The Results are Fantastic,

It works flawlessly, Perfect infact, I tried a few games from the DSTTi (Mario Kart, New Mario Bros, and Space Invaders Extreme 2).

Im now gonna get a Black one from Toys'R'us Tonight only £134.97.

You mean to tell me there is a firmware update for it already?

I don,t think a firware update will stop the flashkarts. But who knows!

yep... mine was set to 1.2E and updated to 1.3E
from what i've read so far, 1.3 seems to be safe
now i need to worry what to spend the 1000 wiipoints at and wait for the acekard...
and of course keep my fingers crossed that everything will work like people claim it does

The update is 1.3E and this won't block flashcarts, but it IS required.

There is, 1.3, but this won't stop flashcarts working because 1.3J was already released.

They will just work, but make sure that you set the language of your DSi to English.

Try Here. If you dont want to wait until they get the ak2i back in stock (currently back-ordered) get the EZ-Flash Vi both are good cards, although personally id wait for the akecard to come back in stock
