In Free Play mode, whenever I select Arena 1, 5, 6, 7, or 8, the game stalls on a black screen. I tested all other stages, and only these 5 Arena stages lock up. Any ideas?

All maps should have names and descriptions now. I'll work out the line breaks after the next patch release.
hm ... just checked in no$gba and they work for me

I just checked again with the newest patch, and Arenas 1, 5, 6, 7, and 8 still lock up on a black screen when tested on a DS Lite. I'll format my microSD when I have some time, to make sure the issue isn't just me. Are any of these stages freezing on a black screen before it loads for anyone else (on a DS)?

and MERRY XMAS!

Formatted the microSD, and now only Arenas 1 and 5 freeze on loading.

EDIT: Formatted again, still black screening when picking only Arena 1 and 5. I have no idea what my issue is. The game doesn't seem to actually freeze, because the menu music continues playing while it stalls on a black screen, but if I hit soft-reset while it is black screened, everything freezes. I'll just live without those 2 stages it seems.

Where are map descriptions?
Now I translated are...

316th (Card)
317th
318th
319th

756th
758th ~ 771st(Story)

I couldn't find Map descriptions...

In the "Maps" section, labeled as "Description"...
he asks where he can find them in game

its file 164

I might be wanting this game, but if there's no tutorial then I doubt i'd be smart enough to figure it out. Like with that Japanese InuYasha game for the GBA. Except with that game I think I was winning and I have no clue how I even managed that.

As a long-time lurker here, thanks to all for the excellent job with the translation - it really is amazing how far things have come.

Until now I've never had a problem with the patches, but with the latest version I'm experiencing the exact same as above and also get the black screen with the "Gilman Volcano" and "Dark Abyss" maps, in both freeplay and story mode.

Any chance of a version that rolls back changes to these maps to see if we can get them to work?

Thanks again for the amazing job!

There's a good tutorial in it.

Hmm... Maybe it'll teach me to read Japanese and play the InuYasha GBA game too. NOT! I'm really only interested because it's similar to that InuYasha GBA game and it might teach me how to play.
