Homebrew CTRX - PS1 Emulator

As much as I want a PS1 emulator, AFAIK even the new 3ds is not able to run ps1 games at full speed.

If I remember correctly, it "does", but you need to put enough effort into making an emulator so it is well optimized. Look at Dolphin 5.0, continuous updates that make it more like the true console and faster than before.

Dolphin is basically an enhanced port of the Gamecube and Wii for PC. If any emulator developer wants to look at another for inspiration as far as where hard work goes, I would suggest looking at Dolphin. 5.0 is as perfect as it gets right now. While there's a lot of work left to be done, a lot of stuff is nothing more than extras, at least for the Ishiiruka builds.

I wouldn't count on it, but if it lets me play PS1 ports of Pro Skater 1-4 I would be all over it.

This is dead, just let it die. You would have a better chance at finding a ps1 emu looking through old retroarch builds for one that isnt broken.

I'm currently testing ctrx vs pcsx on o3ds but i cant seem to make ctrx run psx roms.
Does it support .cue, .bin, .iso?
