he didnt mention sticks but shoulder buttons the original ps1 controller always had 4 shoulder buttons wich the 3ds doesnt without that adpter wich name escapes me.
The psp has the same amount of buttons and it runs and plays psx game very sweet with POPS

Keep in mind that the 3DS is not going to render the games at nearly the same resolutions that your computer would, and that the hardware will pretty much be entirely dedicated to the emulator (as opposed to your computer, which is likely doing a lot more than that at any given time).

It's very unlikely your computer is doing a lot more unless you tell it to, I'd be surprised if you even lost 10%. Although if it's running a lot of malware in the background or there are driver problems, then that can cause you issues.

The 3DS will have to render the game at the same resolution as the PS1, the same as any decent PS1 emulator. Some games use the display as a source texture, if you aren't rendering it correctly then you will have problems with those games. You can make compromises to run faster at the expense of 100% compatibility. Some models of PS2 have a list of patches for games that rely on better compatibility than their emulation can manage.

If you have a computer that is considered a potato, then even a bunch of low-profile programs can affect performance when you need all you can get. Also yeah, compromises are key. Finally, it is possible to render the 3D scene at a lower resolution than intended, IIRC. It can cause issues, but unless my memory is failing me, it's possible.

Woah dutchydutch i saw you on the smashbroshax post and here :) in the same minute you open the same posts that i did and comment on them. Are you stalking me lol

i highly doubt the 3ds can run any ps1 game at full speed, just look at the wii strugling and it has a much stronger processor, the new3ds maybe it can run some games at full speed but the o3ds will likley play games under 20 fps imo.

Doesn't mean he shouldn't at least try, you know?

I can play Rayman for testing ???
What is the format to play a game ???
Thanks !!!

no, not the emulator !!!
