Gaming Cricket on DS!

I don't think the CBC is a good standard of Canadian sports broadcasting any more... this year they lost all Canadian Football League broadcasting rights to TSN (after CBC had it for 55 years)... they've lost the rights to the Hockey Night in Canada theme song to CTV (!?!), and CTV doesn't even have NHL rights, yet... and this is CBC's last Olympics (Bejing 2008), as CTV/TSN will broadcast Vancouver 2010 & London 2012 games. CBC has lost lots of their reputation... and with that lots of their sports broadcasting rights.

Sidenote... Curling is still quite popular in majority of Canada, including in form of TV broadcasts which CBC carries most of (but some on their specaility pay channels)... there are clubs\rinks all over canada and it's popular with all ages, though mostly popular with the older crowd. I believe it's coming more popular with the "beer league" crowd (19-35's, etc), partly because bowling has been on a downhill journey in Canada... my town of 80,000 we have 2 bowling lanes left open out of 4 we had only a year or two ago... in Victoria (provincal capital, 330,000 population) they have closed all their bowling alleys, yet there are still curling rinks (and cricket teams). but this big paragraph is all off topic... so... cricket on ds anyone?

There was one offical NLL game on the PS1 by Acclaim, very fast, hard hitting, arcade action. But a new one would be great too. I personally want new Rugby League and Aussie Rules Football games... they are also two fun sports that work good as games genres.

A remake of Aussie Rules Footy on the NES (held in the same regards as Techmo Bowl for Americans, though I love playing both) would be awesome. I still play it. No better moment in gaming ever than when your mate kicks it out of bounds and the ump yells out "OUT OF BOUNDS ON THE FULL"

It's right up there with golf in terms of how much fun it is to watch, and I guess it's also up there with golf in that it's pretty satisfying to play.
But personally, for me to enjoy a sports video game, it needs to be both fun to watch and play in real life.
