The folder named sd:/usb-loaderCF7/ has a file called titles.txt. You can edit game names in there.
thank you!
i'll try it after works ~~~

Update on my distorted screen problem,

I tried other wii settings (50Hz and 4/3) to see if it helps with the problem, but no luck there.
What i did notice is, when all covers are downloaded and shown in the loader the main window seems ok, BUT, when i go to the options screen and go back to the main window, it shifts back to the distorted screen again for a second till the covers are shown again. This looks pretty strange and i dont like it (but i still like the loader though

).

Another problem i noticed is that for a few games, the cover is not downloaded (or maybe corrupted) and the loader just shows a 'black box' instead of a 'no cover' box.

@Spidey

Hey there. In Alpha6 there should be an option to download that cover again. Don added it so if there was a corrupt game cover you could just select and download it off the server to replace, so try that out and see if it helps, it is in the settings page when you are on that particular game.

@quepaso

I hope to get a video made soon. Problem was that revisions were coming regularly so if I made a video I wanted it to be the latest version that was being shown. It looks like there is only a couple of tweaks here and there nothing major left now, so I will probably get a video done possibly today.

I already tried downloading it again, so i guess the cover is just not available for the particular game, but then the 'No Cover' box should have been shown.

I hope the distorted screen problem can be fixed

I downloaded all my Covers over the CoverFlow Loader, I think its the right size than.

You downloaded them within the Coverflow7 download function or with the other Coverflow project, a the size are not the same...

If you downloaded them from Coverflow7, then that might be a widescreen issue (16/9) and you're the 1st one to report this. Great as i asked several people to make the 16/9 tests and none replied.

If you're tv is 16/9 (which seems to be...) then check that your wii settings are set to 16/9 and not 4/3.
Coverflow should resize the covers from 4/3 to 16/9 if it's launched from a wii with widescreen enabled.
Please reply, i want some feedback on this.

So speedy, you can confirm that with the video set to 16/9 (within the wii's internal settings) AND a widescreen tv, both the covers and background are displayed the right way?

No glitch/distortion?

Edit :
to the CF7 team... i guess we should talk about our new project now. some people are even forgetting about us:

Configurable USB Loader: 43

Hey Don.

Sorry not been on the last two days to report stuff, I've managed to brick my wii testing a channel wad for the loader
frown.gif
My own fault. I think it's save-able but I need to get my hands on a NTSC copy of Zelda. I have a bloody PAL version but my Wii is NTSC and so the PAL version won't boot.

Regarding the new project, lets get some of the Alpha6 code integrated and see how it's running with that and some other bits and bobs. Then they will have something decent to see and show it working, not just a pretty demo. Remember we want to get it right and polished

Too bad, i feel sorry for you mate. But didn't you installed preloader?
You could have just rerun it to boot straight to the Homebrew Channel, run WadManager and delete the faulty wad. Hope you're gonna fix this issue soon.

Regarding the forthcoming project (should we name it here ot not?) it's ok for me.
Yet i think that Matt's latest mockup is really awesome and to be shown...

Don, the loader works fine with TV and Wii set to 16/9. De covers are resized perfectly, but the problem with the distortion in the main window i described is still occurring, see my last post about it

Don, yeah I was an idiot and never had preloader only Starfall, but I cant boot anything except legit NTSC games. I wasted about 10 DVD's last night trying different things and I think the only way to fix it now is to load Zelda and hope my hack is still installed, then have the wadmanager boot.dol onmy sd and walk backwards in the game and hopefully it will boot the boot.dol and take me into wadmanager and then I can delete the fooked wad.

Regarding the project, I just posted on the blog so see what I say there about it

CD:
try to get some firends with a NTSC version lend the game to you or go rent it!

Spidy:
yep, i've got 4 hours right now where i'll try to work on it.
Can you please recap the bug's aspects and correct me if i'm wrong?

1. the loader boots: screen is "normal" (black?)
2. all pictures are not yet loaded -> screen is garbled.
3. all pictures are loaded and display -> screen returns back to "normal"
4. you go into the settings -> settings' screen is "normal"
5. you hit B and go back to the main screen -> screen is corrupted again.

Am i right? Do you want to add something more?

i would change point 5 to:

you hit B and go back to the main screen -> screen is corrupted again for a short moment till the covers are shown again

and add point 6:

when covers are not found, a 'black box' is shown instead of a 'no cover' box

spidy, you have msn/yahoo messenger?
pm me, i'm gonna ask you some more stuff offline.

for point6: check on your pc that the faulty "black" covers are not really black... coz sometime djtaz's website provide us with such pictures when there's an error.
