Now I have found a way to use homebrews as akmenu4.nds.

1. Add to arm9 LDFLAGS: -Wl,--section-start,.init=0x02000450
2. Add to ndstool: -r9 0x02000450

I wonder if you update...

Wow - does this mean you've figured out a possible way to get Moonshell2 to boot straight away on a ak2i (i.e. getting rid of the 'System Files missing' message), instead of getting AKAIO to autoboot Moonshell2 instead ??

- if so any chance of creating a akmenu4.nds that'll run (a patched) Moonshell2 'direct_boot' WITHOUT having to start AKAIO ??? - since I guess it'll be impossible to patch Moonshell2

Here - http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=193529

Read the first page on how to use Dscovered WINDOW APPLICATION.

Also you need to setup your XD with YSMENU and make sure YSMENU able to load the ROM first.

Okay.....here what you need to do.
For DSTTi
1. Backup all your game.
2. Format your Micro SD with Panasonic format - Google it
3. Download DSTT unoffical firmware - the lastest on - Google it
4. Extract DST unoffical firmware to your XD.
5. Test your SD with DSi or DSL - make sure it load up.
6. Setup YSMENU for your DSTT(i) - Google it - it should be in here under DSTT section.
7. Copy couple ROM.NDS to your Micro SD.
8. Test your YSMENU - Make sure YSMENU able to load the ROM.NDS
9. Download Dscovered from the front page of this thread.
10. Extract the file in your desktop
11. There are 2 seperate folders - DS and Win
12. Copy TTMENU.DAT from DS folder and d-system folder to your Micro SD
13. Go into the Win folder - There should be Dscovered.exe and Cover Folder.
14. Double click on Dscovered.exe
15. Look at the upper left corner - and click on the Drive letter for you Micro SD
16. Now, you should see all the files in your Micro SD.
17. Click on your ROM.NDS - Image should load in the bottom left. -
18. If there are no Image - Then click on browse and enter the URL of the image.
19. Click UPDATE at the bottom right and wait for it finish.
20. Click QUIT.
21. Place your Micro SD into your DSTT(i).
22. Put your DSTT(i) into your DSL or DSi.
23. Turn on the power.

Am I clear with this? Can someone tell if I miss anything.......................

On DSTT wont boot games and makes 16bit saves (tried every loader includin that Xenon++). This is harder than it looks

Did you follow the guide included with the latest download? I have been using DScovered on ttds from day none of development and have had no such problems with it. Perhaps try making sure soft-reset is disabled in the settings.

Could someone instruct me on how to install this to my R4? I followed the instructions in the rar file and it nearly worked out fine, except that when I try to load up a game, it sends me to the ysmenu, and tells me i need an r4 patch.

1. put ttmenu.dat and r4tf.dldi then execute ttextract.exe
2. put {tt,r4}{patch,dldi}.dat in /YSMenu/ (TF)

(not tested by myself though)

Code:

ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ// If exists replace last 8 bytes with soft reset code
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ fseek(reset_test, 8, SEEK_END);
Completely wrong.
Code:
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂreset_test = fopen(savName,"rb+");
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ// If exists replace last 8 bytes with soft reset code
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ fseek(reset_test, 0, SEEK_END);
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ fseek(reset_test, ftell(reset_test)-8, SEEK_SET);
1. You should open exisiting file with rb+
2. You should not use !=0 for SEEK_END

But surely rb+ is for READ? I want to WRITE...
