Homebrew Coverflow DS (New project)

You can set it to load homebrew through the external loader just like commercial, which should fix any problems like that.

Why no just download it instead of asking all the questions, it would be much quicker.

I have, but I think I broked it. It took me hours to fix it, and now all it does is load the theme, the top screen, and the word "Unknown" on the bottom screen. I can do things with the top screen, and can select a 'game', but it loads YSMenu.nds because that's probably the first selection thing on the menu. I've pressed all the buttons on the DS but nothing fixes it.

I question this.

EDIT: Yes, I fuckded it up. Most people wouldn't be able to believe it, even if I said I followed the instructions completely, but I did fuckded it up.

I am using an Acekard 2i with the 1.6 RC1 firmware, I can use DScovered fine just by loading it through the original akaio UI. But I cannot load any games, when I try to I get the error change akmenu4.nds to akmenu.nds but when I do this and I try to reboot my Acekard I got the error message system file missing. Doesn't work with the modified akmenu.nds firmware either with the name changed.

Are you using ysmenu or akaio?

there is an issue with the ysmenu loader, please try the following

Also, does anyone have a full list of working cards?
Obviously homebrew works on all cards, but ysmenu and akaio don't.
Also are there any other unofficial (or official) firmwares that can auto boot a rom by naming it in a .ini file, and that can be loaded normally with a homebrew loader?

A little wierd thing. I complete remove YSMENU for Acekard 2i using Akaio 1.6. However, Dscovery still create YSMENU.INI in the root.

So, like I put DScovery.nds into the root of my card, just to see what would happen if I just booted the NDS file after I got into YSMenu, but it still showed no icons on the bottom screen... Just that damned Unknown thing...... I press all the buttons and get no further....

I ran that three times. It still does nothing.

It shows only the word Unknown and the theme on the bottom screen, and pressing select game starts up YSMenu. Pressing L/R like the installation tutorial says changes nothing, and pressing left or right on the D-Pad does not change what starts when you press A on select game.

Put all the stuff in the root of the card that was supposed to be there, but nothing changed. On the computer, I can go into the last played file that's in the system folder (it makes it when I press a and it loads ysmenu), but all it shows is a big blank.

I'm using acekard2i and akaio 1.6

but even when i follow the directions for the Acekard in the first post, when I boot up my card i get a message telling me that there's a system file missing.

DSCovered ak2i version - remember to dldi patch with the ak2 patch and rename to akmenu4.nds.

dammit, double post. Can a mod fix these?

:/ still getting the same error, i even reformatted my card and did everything you said but it just says "system file is missing" when i launch my card.

I got mine to work. Apparently I was using an old version of the coverflow cover thingy.

But now i'm having a trouble with a game.

I have Daigasso! Band Brothers, and then I have a patched version that has the Expansion songs.
I couldn't change the cover of one without changing the other, and now if I try to access either version it just loads the original.

These two files have different names, but somehow became named exactly the same in the coverflow cover editor.

The little code for both versions are exactly the same.

How do I fix this?

I think you are supposed to have one ROM ID on a card. The both nds have the same ID.

Damn!

But I want the expansion, and since it's originally some slot-2 thing that works similarly to the GBA-DS Pokemon connection and doesn't work, I downloaded the patch that turns a copy of the original .nds Daigasso ROM into the Expansion as a stand alone thing.

Unless someone can tell me how to get the ROM working with the .gba expansion..... I'm gonna be a bit pissed.
Last time I asked about it I asked if using the patch that makes Pokemans games work together would work, people were saying "I dunno" and "It's only for pokemon" and "There's an expansion to Daigasso! Band Brothers?"

Make sure you are using the YSmenu loader in the SETUP and SOFT RESET is turned off
Try removing the save game and letting it create a new one. Not ideal, but see if it works
