it would be great if u`d move the objects on the upper screen a little to the left and add a "window" which would show the name of the game... some info on it... size of the rom.. lala... and similar crap... anyway... the whole idea is so fucking great i cant wait for it so pleas hurry

I'd say it should be fine without name, although if you have homebrew without covers that could be tricky. Perhaps have some sort of backup for files without covers, like an autogenerated cover with the filename on it?

DSision3 : DScovered

Over the past few days, I have started work on Coverflow DS (name may change later). Basically, much like DSision and DSision2, I am trying to make loading files on the DS look better. This idea, as you can tell, is based on the iPod/iPhone/iTunes coverflow menu system.

This one comes with a nice little app, to make transferring cover images to the ds easier, by correctly formatting the images for you.

Currently working are -
Coverflow part working fine (scrolling/animating etc.)
Loading of homebrew.
App for setting up the covers.


Yes, I know the icon on the lower screen doesn't match the upper screen, the lower screen only a mockup, the top screen however, is a genuin screengrab.

What do you think? should I keep working on it?

How to import covers for Coverflow DS.

1. Launch the coverflow app.

2. Insert usb card reader and press the 'Refresh' button

3. Select the drive letter of the card you wish to use. At this point, the app will search your entire card for .nds files. This may take a little time, depending on how many files are on the card.

4. Once the file list is loaded, you may select any of the files in the list. The cover art window will show the cirrently assigned art for that file. If there is no cover art asigned, or you wish to change the current art, press the 'browse' button.

5. You can now select an image to use as that files cover art. You may also copy+paste the url of an online image.

6. Now, your new cover will be assigned. The image conversion will take a couple of seconds, slightly longer if your image comes from the web (download time of the image).

is there any chance of making this release of Dsision have the SDHC compatability. i really like the design, and i wish to be able to have alot of games on there, because i only have SDHC micro sd cards.

That depends on which card you use. It should work fine as a firmware for TTDS if you use a normal microSD card (not HCSD) and maybe on R4, on most other cards, it will only be able to load as an app.
