little question , would it be possible to make an option when you turn to see the back to zoom the cover up to a point you can read what on the cover ??
The theme is nice, but I wish it didn't say WiiFlow at the bottom, since I like a more clean look. The font is rather large, and clutters things a bit, but the carbon fiber pattern works well.

In the options, you can program the coverflow graphics and save it to two slots (button 1, and button 2). When changing the coverflow settings, you will notice a number 1 at the top left, and an empty bubble next to it. When you press the 1 bubble, it will change to number 2, and now you can set new camera options for button 2 on the wiimote. When you press the empty bubble next to the numbered one, it switches to the zoomed boxart view, and you can change these settings as well.

So I basically set button 1 to be my standard view, with a boxart that will fit on the screen when zoomed. My button 2 switches to a cool camera sweep that pans across the coverflow, and zooms in on the 3D covers. When I choose a game under button 2 settings, the boxart is zoomed way large so I can clearly see the back. Just mess with the settings and you can find a good solution. As for being able to read all the small print on the back, I'm not sure we'll ever be able to read it all. I have a 1080p lcd running the Wii in 480p widescreen, and with the cover fully zoomed, it's still impossible to read some of the print.

nice theme benjnselinay and nice video too BlindDude thanks
ps what is the song on the video? I like it

Thanks for comments

if you want , i can up a background without the "wiiflow" on it , not a problem.

i'll do this in middle of the journey , must go to work now.........
Can anyone tell me if you see the carbon texture on all the bottom half of picture ?
cause in the blindDude's video it doesn't look like on my wii , the pattern stopping on the first 1/4 of the picture.
Perhaps should i change settings of my tv , it' certainly to bright and i don't get the same result on my PC and my TV.

PS : thx to BlindDude , i love you my dear ^^

about bottom icons, i think I can find values in the theme.ini to make them to appear as a wole bar, I'm working on it.

making them appear as a whole bar isn't difficult , just cut your bar in 4 parts , assign each part to an icon , look in the theme.ini in [main] section , you will find sections named [main/info] , [main/quit] , [main/favorites] and [main/config].
In this section you can define the position of each icon on screen (x and y values) , change them to put the 4 icons sticked together.

The problem is when you clik on an icon , it does an effect on it (some kind of repetition and zoom in) , and it may do strange things with parts of your bar.
and i'm not sure this effect can be changed in theme.ini (wish i'm wrong).

EDIT : useless post since i didn't download your theme , and now i can see that's what you've done for icons (cutting the bar in 4 parts ) ^^
good stuff , really clean

Yes I know

My problem is to make appear the 4 parts as 1 in the animation when you point at the bottom of the screen and the buttons apperar from the far bottom.
Changing values
effect_x=
effect_y=
in theme.ini for each of the four button I think I could do this, but I can't understand how to calculate exact values an d I'm proceeding try after try
wtf.gif

Another question is: I was trying to change font color but I can't understand what kind of values are used in theme.ini in this form#BFDFFFD0, its not exadecimal value? there are 8 digits instead of 6

I am very impressed by these 3 themes. I used transparency to fade covers out because i wanted to keep compatibility with any background. And i love the red one.

The effects are very simple:

effect_x/y is where the button comes from.
So if you have effect_x=-100, the button comes from 100 pixels away on the left.

effect_scale_x/y is how big the button is when it's invisible.
effect_scale_x=0 means the button will grow from a size of 0 to the size you've set.
effect_scale_x=1 means the button doesn't grow/shrink.
effect_scale_x=2 means the button is twice bigger when it's invisible
A negative value gives a nice effect too.

So in your case, simply set effect_scale_x=1 and effect_x=0 for the 4 buttons. Then do what you want with effect_scale_y and effect_y.

Colors have the following format :
#RRGGBBAA
AA being the alpha channel (transparency)
So it's like html colors, simply add FF at the end.
Maybe it works if you just set color=#RRGGBB, i don't remember.

hello hibern !!
happy to see you ^^
no it doesn't work if you just set color

thx for explanation on how effects work.

that makes it NOT compatible with any background , cause you can see through covers , and if you want to put a word or something like that in the middle top of background , covers non highlighted become weird...so background need to stay black on middle top to keep your effect on covers beautiful

i've noted what you liked and disliked for each of you , and i'll post a revision later with some modifications, like a folder with different backgrounds (with or without wiiflow) , smaller buttons and font , and some details about positions of buttons.
Anyway could anyone tell me where the carbone texture finish on his TV screen when on coverflow ? middle of picture or just the 1/4 from the bottom filled with ?

I like the look of those two forwarders. Have they been fully tested as i dont have brick protection so always careful before installing a .wad

Cheers

hi all, this is my contribution now since i saw the other nicely done theme...

http://www.mediafire.com/?nj4eejntv2y

i just wanted to have a clean theme theme which looks more like nintendo or wii style and which isnt dark
biggrin.gif
dont like dark themes that much.

If someone can do a video of my theme like the one of the other theme that would be very nice.

Hope you like it. Have Fun

Why don't you just get yourself some brick protection? No reason to be installing wads without it.

Thank you Roku! BlueScreen81, thank you as well for your theme! Honestly, I'll have to let the kids decide on which theme to choose, since I cannot decide on two fabulous themes. Blinddude, any chance you could test make a preview of Roku's theme as well? Thanks.

I didnt realise how flexible the themes combined with the inbuilt options made this loader.
Its quite impressive that the same code can be made to be so flexible.

Well done to the theme makers , to hibern for such great work and to everyone else who chipped in with this - thanks blinddude for uploading the videos , i may add in a few themes for myself after seeing them and im usually a standard default type of guy.

is there a way to fix the transparency on the game covers so you can't see through them? I love the red theme, but it'd be nice if the games were solid.

just tried this and the interface is excellent.

The actual loader itself seems a little unstable but the actual interface/wiiflow is really excellent.
