I'm recording a video of 5.0 for those who requested it, I should have it uploaded soon

I'm excited for this, I hope the changes can be seen between the old 1.1 vid and the new 5.0 (:

Thanks mate, I've just got back from work, it's uploading now, I had to leave my PC on encoding it for YouTube (the raw file from my VGA box was about 3.02Gb for a few minutes of footage

) The video shows you the new settings and stuff, I tried to cover everything

EDIT: Finished uploading

Nice video!
I suggest you to wait the 5.1 release, it will have 2 nice features

If you can do a video when it will be released, we will put your video as default one, in the project page

Anyway, since the usb-loader directory is used by just our loader, I suggest to remove all the covers and download them by the application, so the final effect will be awesome

Thanks mate, sounds great, I'm looking forward to the next release! Yeah, I can do one as soon as you release 5.1, having a VGA box means it's really easy to make one really quickly

Being the default video would be awesome, thanks!

Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do, it should fix the issue. Keep up the great work!

does it support downloading all missing covers in one go?

Yes. In fact that's the only method for downloading covers in this.

No, in fact you can also manually download covers in 224x160 format from http://www.theotherzone.com/wii/ and specify the size after you select the regiorn.
Cheers.

I guess I should clarify that "in this" meant "from within the program."

is it possible to install this directly as a wii channel so no sd card is needed (for loader + covers) (no forwarder) ?

i really love this design, and hope it continues.... nice work on the 'home' button

. great job overall and keep going with this project.

you could (i stress could) add all your covers to /data and then load from buffer instead

this would make the .dol a bit larger but for people with a few games it would work

am in the process of trying this now.

will report back.

juste test 5.1, i dont know wath happen but the 5.0 is a lot better for the graphic , the 5.1 have huge bug on the cover flow , pixel , fuzzy cover,
Maybe it is zoomed too much, try to reduce it from settings menu.
It's normal you get crispy covers if you zoom a lot (maybe default settings are changed).

1st time i loaded it, i had a corrupted 1st and last image. Game didn't load.
2nd time, loader crashed while scrolling left.
3rd time, 1st and last image corrupted still, but went away from image and went back and 1st was ok, last wasn't.
4th time 1st cover ok, last cover corrupted. Game started ok, but not until i pressed a few buttons.. ??

From where the covers come from? Autodownload or manually put? If manually, what is their size? Should be 160x224, not 160x225.
Anyway I suggest to autodownload covers from settings menu.

are the some one there have some Boxart and Diskart in the right size.

I havent my wii on internet at the moment.

Since the last Update, all my Covers are fine, tHX

. Can please anyone make a nice Forwarder for this awesome CoverFlow USBLoader. The best is, a Forwarder, who needs the boot.dol in SD:/apps/CoverFlow/boot.dol, not in SD:/apps/usbloader/boot.dol.

Seconded!

v5.1 is working flawlessly on my system. I have 40ish games.

5.1 is very stable and looks stunning. I used to get 'missing covers' when using the slider for scrolling but that's fixed too. Nice work guys!

I do think there are a few things that could / should be improved (I'll also report them on the issues list)
- When you launch the loader it shows a 'ghost-image' of the previous session. Is it possible to clear the screen or buffer (or 'painting it black') before launching or exiting to prevent this?
- The coordinates for the response to 'the pointer-click' are off (at least in my setup: widescreen). I can click left and right in the black area around the center cover, and even the first few pixels of the cover to the right, and that will bring up the game-launch screen.
- Clicking on covers both left and right of the center image should bring them to center, right now I have to reach to the very edge of the game (or even a little further) to get the game to center position and that feels as if you have to make a lot of effort to do so.

This loader really should get a dedicated wad or forwarder that looks just as good...

I really can't tell you just how impressed (and happy) I am with this, thanks!

Yes, autodownloaded.
How did you scrolled left? dpad, slider or b button? How many games do you have? Do you have an sd card inserted? Which game do you booted?
Thanks for help, please also fill the bug here so we have a track http://code.google.com/p/wiicoverflow/issues/list
Thanks for help!
using dpad to scroll
98 games
running from sd card with WD passport HDD
Donkey kong jet pack was the game..
Just tried it again, and first and last cover corrupted with little squares.. scrolled all the way left then right..no crash so maybe random..
