Everyone has a legitimate point of view...just because you can criticise others from a perceived moral highground doesn't make yours any more so. The fact that you're new here doesn't help much either.
As for your FACTS!
Point the first - As reiterated many times DAX had said publicly that he'd work on the next firmware when he felt that there was something worth including. Unlike all these trendy new groups he never bothered with hype threads or beta video's he just released a finished (or 98% finished) product. He could be beavering away right now, who knows. CFW was never intended for piracy and even though some games require a newer M33 firmware they are not in the majority...perhaps he still feels there is no pressing need. He's never been that vocal about things, and hadn't been active on those forums for months and months. Alek is but a mouthpiece.
Point the second....The PSP Go will have the same firmware as the PSP 3000, 2000 and 1000. FW 6.00 has PSP Go only features after all and it hasn't blown up anyone's non Go PSP as far as i'm aware. The Go is essentially the same as the PSP 3000 bar a few tweaks so Sony would be being way out of character to actually create two different firmwares. The issue with hacking these newer PSP's is in the HARDWARE, not the SOFTWARE/FIRMWARE.
Point the third....People want DAX to craft a new CFW because he is the pioneer of the field. He not only reversed the firmwares but added features and even made his own ISO driver. Unless you can understand what sort of feat that is don't mock other people's respect of the man who has made most of what we take for granted today possible.
Point the fourth...UMD's aren't fragile, and second batteries aren't that expensive. Plus a public UMD ripper would be nuts purely down to licensing issues. Sony want to stop piracy and free copies of games, remember? You also don't need to shell out for the Digital versions...either opt in to Sony's exchange scheme or don't buy a Go.
Point the fifth...CFW's have been made by DAX in hours. People are desperate for a new firmware. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he could have done something amazing in two days.
Point the sixth...very few new games require an update and even fewer are actually worth updating for. If you can't find something else worth playing in all the PSP's library coupled with all the systems it can emulate you'll never be satisfied. I suggest you quite gaming altogether.
Point the seventh...must google harder. I give your summation 3 out of 10.
Point the eighth...DAX never bothered with forum politics to any great degree and i really doubt he cares one way or another what anyone says or wants. It would have no influence upon the rate at which a new firmware appears if a million of these topics popped up here. He'll either talk to his scene friends and do something or he won't....he doesn't care about you and me.
Point the last....nice way to try and discourage anyone from disagreeing with you. Is that some kind of Political Science lingo for "i'm having the last word"?
