Hi guys so im setup as using configurable usb loader version 51.

Iv been sucessfully using a verbatim 250gb hdd for many months now.

Recently I realised it would be useful to have two partitions one for wbfs, and another for ntfs for file transfers.

So I formatted, and the wii loader could still see the games on the drive but came up with "could not open game (ret= -16)" everytime!

So i have returned the drive to just one partition wbfs, yet I still get the same error message for every game I try to load, any idea what i've done?

Cheers guys

How did you format the drive? I always format wbfs partitions with the loader itself.

Also, go into global options (press 1 twice) and let me know what the partition screen says.

originally I formatted the drive in wbfs manager 3.0.

I have just tried formatting from inside cfg loader with the same results...

It shows the game is on the hdd but still won't load..

My partition screen shows :

p1 232.88 extend
p2 0 unused
p3 0 unused
p4 0 unused
l5 232.88 wbfs1 used.

thanks for your help

Make sure you're not using the -fat dol. Also check your settings.cfg (should be in /usb-loader) and remove any "partition=[anything]" line. You could also try installing a game off disc within the loader and then try to run it.
