Hacking Could I Get Haxchi Without getting brainage?

It has to be a game you purchased, so it can launch without signature patches, which you'd need to launch the game otherwise

Brain age is not important per say, its just that well... Why would someone play that game? but you do indeed need a DS game, and it need to be one that you yourself bought, if you try to be all fansy like "I don't need no to buy some stinky game, i'll just use hacks to get it" then you're just gonna end up bricking your system.

Brain Age is the cheapest one. If you're limited on money, you can use the browser exploit instead.

Yes yes, I know, but I wanted to install a dlc that only works with CFW mocha. I can run mocha but then going back into homebrew through the broswer takes many tries a.k.a meaning I have to get lucky 2 times.

This may be a silly question, but if you create a new NNID and set it to Europe (like set it so it thinks you live in the UK)
Would you be able to download Dr Kawashima's Brain Training for free? Probably not right?

Because I got it for free, not sure why other than the fact I live in the UK and apparently we got it for free at some point, but I didn't really own a Wii U until last year

I'm not sure about the eur account, but in order to get it for free you would have had to had your account set up before they ended the free download

About the free Brain Training in Europe: I made a brand new NNID on a Wii U that had never downloaded the game before, and it let me download the game for free.

If I remember correctly, work on that and the Crunchyroll exploit were back before another primary browser exploit was discovered on 5.5.2, so those projects were likely shelved.

However, this release could lead to something like CBHC being installed without the need for a DS VC game. Don't hold your breath for a release anytime soon.

The Wii U is effectively dead. There probably aren't going to be any DS VC discounts in the future. OP only has two options for CFW:

1. Use the browser to launch Mocha each time you need CFW, waiting patiently for the DS-less CBHC that might someday be released (see my previous post for details).
2. Buy Brain Age and install Haxchi or CBHC.
