Thats risky, I see people in the comments talking about getting an error code or the game demand a "purchasing license". Maybe its game specific? I wouldn't recommend you doing this.

it's just the PS3 inject method, it been out for quite a while though not all games work.

it uses the game update's eboot (signed by sony so it works) to boot the game, which all files is resigned to a sdat (i think) and uses the LIC.DAT (converted to LIC.EDAT) as license.

so no game update, no work, though some games also refuses to work.
