considering one is for the ds and the other is for the 3ds. I highly doubt this is possible..

Yeah, I don't think it's possible, for the reason @Mr.ButtButt gave.

You can use the Wii U save on a flash cart though (and vice versa). That's what I did when I played the first 4 games. When I was home I would play on my Wii U, when I was away from home I would play on my 3DS.
