Homebrew control parental reset tool?

hi
i bought an old 3dsxl , but it has the control parental set on , and so i can't run any of the exploits or downgrade it...any idea how to reset that 3ds to it's original state? the 3ds is EUR , ver 7.1.0-14E , tried 3dsexplorer too but it seems the parental control tool is old

use the GW launcher to downgrade to 4.x and then use the parental controls tool to remove it


oh just re-read it....so the browser is locked on it? not sure then, ninjhax may give you someway to go about it (but ninjhax also relies on the browser to a degree, so even that might not work), iirc there was a tool released that forces a system format, that may remove it, but that would depend on you being able to get into a hacked mode by some means

Well, there are only 10000 possible combinations. Shouldn't take that long to test them all

t here is no nfo about how parental control works , or if you activate it what files changes or what register is enabled so i can use rasbpi to desactivate it (the same way used to unbrick 3ds)
, also trying the 10000 methode is too long and will take more than 1 week to find the correct key

this only works on old systems , 7.0 and above has the parental control changed , 10 number instead of 8 numbers in old versions

I'm late to the party... you can trick your 3ds into letting you set up your internet connection during boot ( L+R+down+A) and setup your connection and agree to go online to update (I pulled the battery as soon as it connected the internet to prepare the download)

I then used cubic ninja and voila!

So. About that forced reset?

I think tinyformat can format everything.

ao first downgrade your console then install customfimware and run tinyformat.

I think this will be reset all the setting on 3ds.

Okay so downgrading to 4.2.0-9U and then using the old tools to remove parental lock worked perfectly!

Step 1: Hold (L+R+down+A) on boot, and set internet connection there, power off before update.
Step 2: Run Ninjhax, etc.
Step 3: Downgrade to 4.2
Step 4: Use 3dsexplorer Parentool, or 3ds Parental Tool

Voila!

this is old , but instead of downgrading , if you can run homebrew loader (anuy entry point , you just need to install mset(downgrade mset) , then you will have access to the old 8 character keys) , if not just try a full downgrade

and for the this server is missing the required data problem , onlmy a few firm are supported by that site , but surely if you are on 9.2 it will work; you xcan also ask dazazo (the autor of this site) for a special firmware key request
