I am considering buying a m3 ds real, acekard, or other card, I've heard pretty good things about this one along with its sakura firmware - any tips or anything when/ if I buy this card, for example: if you get an acekard you AKAIO

good choice to buy the m3 real.

well if you buy a m3 ds real you should download the m3 sakura firmware. its like m3 sakura AND m3 ds real firmwares in one.

yea its a great choice i recommend getting the perfect bundle version you get a rumble pack, gba expansion, SD reader and the M3 Real

I love my M3 Real.

M3 Sakura looks great and has a bunch of implemented features.
It lacks good homebrew support, but you can always have the dual-boot and go to the Touchpod menu.

Hmm, I just ordered my M3DS Real, with the hopes of playing a couple of emulators (snes/gbc) and already have the latest Sakura downloaded..which I think comes with Touchpod? I'm not sure how it works exactly, how do you boot into touchpod to run emulators and such?

The emulators you need will work in Sakura. Refer here to see which homebrew will work in Sakura.

Ah, fantastic! Thanks!
Also, just watched your M3 vids on Youtube, good information there

Thanks! I'm gonna be making another review for Sakura 1.34 (1.35 now I guess, since there's a pre-release beta out) as soon as I lose my cough. Don't wanna be coughing for a YouTube video, right?

That's what cough drops are for, yes?

spring breaks..
There have been very few (if not no) cases of the M3 Real spring breaking.

Even if it does, the new design for the M3 Real has the MicroSD card slot on the side of the flashcart which means it will not fall out by itself anyway.

1. Make sure that when you see the pictures of the M3 DS Real you're buying, that the website on it says "www.m3adapter.com" and not "www.m3adaptes.com" as the one with adaptes is a fake and cannot run Sakura.

2. If you're getting the bundle that comes with a card reader, DO NOT USE IT. It will virtually kill your card and make it so your computer won't even detect it.

3. If you want to play GBA roms and also use the opera browser I suggest getting the bundle that comes with the GBA expansion and not the rumble. Because the GBA can play roms and it also works as a RAM expansion. While the Rumble expansion isn't that exciting (trust me it isn't, it only works on like 4-5 games and it will randomly make very loud rumbling sounds if you take it out and put it back in while the DS is off).

4. Don't stay with touchpod, it's touch screen functionalities suck. Trust me, just get the latest Sakura and get a good skin and you'll love it.

All bundles, to my knowledge, come with a USB TF reader. I still use mine, and it hasn't caused me grief with the 2 MicroSD cards I've used it with. I guess it's just the luck of the draw, though.

Well honestly it depends where you buy it from. Like my Rumble + M3 Real + Card Reader bundle didn't come with a software CD.

My pack didn't come with a CD either. I got it from DealExtreme (number 2728). The card reader is one of those black rectangular ones, and it works like a dream.

I'm satisfied with my M3 DS Real's performance, especially since updating to Sakura, but I have a complaint: The plastic casing is absolutely awful. I got mine some time around Christmas 2007, and it's pretty much disintegrated. I actually removed a few piece of excess plastic, and it still holds together, but there's a huge crack near the SD slot that has me very worried. While we're on the subject, does anybody have any advice for fixing any of this?
