So I want to get a PSP. I don't know the best site, but I'm eyeing Ebay and Amazon right now.

So a seller has a HU0 PSP-2000 with 6.2 firmware (came with 3.6). But I have some questions before buying it...

Would I be able to fully modify this PSP? In the FAQ it said 6.35 or less is a semi mod. But since it came with 3.6 originally, I am kind of confused.

Another thing, where can I get a Pandora battery? And what kind of memory stick do you need for MMS?

As far as I know any psp 1000 or 2000 can use a pandora battery.
So after u use that, you can install 5.50 GEN

But personally, I would wait a month or two, because the PSP has just been blown wide open and all sorts of hacks are sure to brought to EVERY model of the PSP, if you waste your time with an older model now you may regret it.

I'd say wait.

Just use 6.20 TN-B HEN and use PSident(or something along those lines) to find your motherboard. From there you can either 1. Stay on TN-B or 2. If your motherboard is right, you will be able to downgrade. I say go for it, unless you want something more portable like a Go. from 2000 to 3000 isn't much of a difference, and there's still a chance your 2000, could be fully hackable. Pandora's batteries I think can be bought from realhotstuff.com, you can pretty much use any memory stick pro duo for your MMS.

What advantages does PSP-3000 or Go have over 2000?

There are some games that I really want to play on PSP and I'd rather play sooner than later!

For me at least, game wise, there wasn't much difference between a 2000 and a Go, especially now that both have been hacked. I kept my 2000 basically asleep all the time when I had it. I don't have it anymore. But now I have a Go, I enjoy it a lot more, and its definitely more portable, thats the thing that I basically love about it, that and the internal memory(no need for a memory stick), but in terms of how I use it, its the same. The only thing the 2000 has over it, is the fact that its fully hackable(with the right motherboard)

What matters for hackability in the first charts is the current firmware. Since it's 6.20, it's a semi-hack.

Since it came with 3.60 though, we know it's an older Slim model, meaning you can buy/make and use a pandora battery to downgrade the firmware so you can turn it into a full hack.

realhotstuff.com sells them

Can someone please tell me where to get a Pandora other than Dealextreme?

If you can run HEN u can just make ur own using ur battery and convert it when you're done

Got another question.

What is the fastest memory stick to get for 8GB or 4GB?

I have an older (2007 I believe) Transcend M5 Multi Card Reader, which came out before MS Pro Duo HG, so I'm not sure I can get an HG without buying a whole new reader.

What kind of card would work on the reader and be as fast as possible?

The "Fastest" is a special kind made by sony, very expensive. But honestly, buy an 8GB sandisk memorystick and you'll be just fine, it's not slow or anything.
That's what I use and it works perfectly.
