Considering a GP2X

I have been looking at these for quite some time now, I was just had a few questions for people that already own one:
Is the GP2X at the end of its run, or does it have some life left in it?
Is the GP2X your favorite handheld system?
Does the battery really only last five hours, or can you get a high capacity battery?
How smooth is the video playback? Superior to the PSP?
Has Homebrew support died out? Or is it still alive?
What are some good websites to consider before buying a GP2X?
Does the PSP have superior game support/graphics?

Sorry for all of the questions, I'm thinking about getting a summer job to buy some crap, and the GP2X is on the top of that list.

I think OrR is a true believer of GP2X. So I hope he sees this.
I also want to know if it's still worth buying. I've been considering one since way before getting a DS.
