and that's the truth, same goes to macafee, what the hell is an anti virus that is able to detect, BUT unable to remove them, such a useless anti-virus, it does make you wonder however, whether or not, macafee and norton, do they belong to the same company?

I believe selling Norton at PC World is a form of malpractice.
You THINK you're protected, but nothing is further from the truth.

ya, and the sad truth is that there are millions of victims out there who thinking that norton rocks and the law doesn't allow us to sue them since technically, their crappy product works, just that their definition is long overdue

Heck, my school is still using norton, so everytime i plug in my thumbdrive, i have to deep-clean it or else, its hi to adware/malware/spyware/whatever crap they be sending out for free

I know a couple friends who use Norton and think they are pretty much invincible to viruses. To test them I just did a simple EXE merge with a small game and a malicious EXE that did a whole bunch of stuff, but could be removed remotely (by me only). I was surprised to see that it got past norton. I really didnt think it was that crappy.

yup, norton and macafee are pratically useless

if a virus do get blocked, i recommand instant reboot, since if any virus managed to get through, it would means that there are far too many virus for norton to ignore
