Thats the one rom my previous One:
and this is (now) yours:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<app version="1">
<name>Configurable USB Loader Mod</name>
<version>r78.11</version>
<release_date>20170115</release_date>
<coder>ModMii Edition</coder>
<short_description>Play from USB drive</short_description>
<long_description>
Play Wii Backups from USB harddrive
cIOS 249 is required!
Hermes cIOS 222/223 is supported.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
</long_description>
</app>

:lol:

Say, have you tried Nintendont using r78.11?

I can't remember mine working through it. Not sure if I went with the beta's because it was just the latest release, but I seem to possibly remember Nintendont didn't work correctly for me with it and I had to go to the betas.

I suppose I can change the version on my card to see what happens this weekend, but seeing you are in the middle of using r78.11 did you have any Nintendont loading issues?

EDIT: BTW - Maybe I'm just old school, but CFG USB Loader is still my favorite. Given the others a little chance a long time ago, but I always liked its Carousel cover flow the best.

It worked but loaded through the Nintendont UI.:(

There is a Line to add.(Thanks to our awesome @XFlak he found it..)

adding this to SD or USB:\usb-loader\config.txt

Code:
nintendont_config_mode=arg

Now it should boot like in USBLoader GX.:)

Ok thanks, I'll play around and add that into mine. I remember it being really frustrating way back then trying to get Nintendont to work through CFG USB Loader.

When trying to get things to work I had to force ios 249 (which I think has base 58) in it by entering it as an argument in the meta.xml file and then keeping the config.txt in both the apps/USBLoader_cfg directory and usb-loader directory for it to work:

My meta.xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<app>
<name> Cfg USB Loader</name>
<coder>oggzee, usptactical, gannon, Clipper,...</coder>
<version>v71beta51t3</version>

-Hermes cIOS 222/223 is supported
-USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!</long_description>
<arguments>
<arg>ios = 249</arg>
</arguments>
</app>

My config.txt:
# In Use: Cfg USB Loader v71beta51t3 IOS249forced 2015-07-13
# Apps/USBLoader_cfg/config.txt
# lines starting with # are comments
# see README-CFG.txt for help on options

I have always used the Mod 70 r78.11.Since 3 - 4 Years.
I never had to change anything and 99.99% of the Wii Games are working on the first Attempt.
I use it mainly,if a Game ("Shovelware" for Example) is not working with USBLoader GX to see which cIOS it needs.
Honestly it works "better" than the USBLoader GX but I like more the many Options from it.:)

adding this to SD or USB:\usb-loader\config.txt

Code:
nintendont_config_mode=arg

I'll assume the code should have the space on each side of the equal sign? nintendont_config_mode = arg

I also see my SD:/usb-loader/setting.cfg has a line in it that says nintendont apps = 1, does this remain as is and just leave it?

Good Morning.:)

I'll assume the code should have the space on each side of the equal sign? nintendont_config_mode = arg

I also see my SD:/usb-loader/setting.cfg has a line in it that says nintendont apps = 1, does this remain as is and just leave it?

Here is my "config.txt" from the Folder SD Card:\usb-loader

# USBLoader config
# lines starting with # are comments
# see README-CFG.txt for help on options

# theme
theme = Glass

# gui
gui = start
gui_transition = fade
gui_style = flow
gui_rows = 2

# device
device = usb

# language related options:
# translation = XX
# db_language = XX

# this is required for asian languages:
# load_unifont = 1

#nintendont loading
nintendont_config_mode=arg

and this is the "settings.cfg"

# CFG USB Loader settings file 70r78.11
# Note: This file is automatically generated

# Global Settings:
theme = Glass
device = usb
partition = FAT1
gui_style = coverflow3d
gui_rows = 4
devo = 2
old_button_color = 0
# Profiles: 1
[profile=default]
profile_theme = Glass
# Favorite Games: 0
# Current profile: 1
profile = default

# Hidden Games: 1
hide_game = __CF

# Game Options: 25

*followed by the InGame Settings for the Game*

#END

I am very sorry,I do not have this Line "nintendont apps = 1"
so I think i is not necessary.

Thank you.:)

Hello,

if it can help: :D

I confirm that this version of CFG loader USB == cfg70r78.11 works well for me (it's the one I use for wii games).

I did a test with a Gamecube game and the version of CFG loader USB == cfg70r78.11:
For me it was necessary to go to the parameters of the game Gamecube for the settings ==> options ==> page 2 ==> boot method ==> Nintendont
I launched the game and it started.

here is my config.text:

# USBLoader config
# lines starting with # are comments
# see README-CFG.txt for help on options

# theme
theme = Glass

# mistletoe
gui = start
gui_transition = bland
gui_style = flow
gui_rows = 2

# device
device = usb

# language related options:
# translation = XX
# db_language = XX

# this is required for asian languages:
# load_unifont = 1

# nintendont loading
nintendont_config_mode = arg

BTW I added this to the sample config file that comes with cfg usb loader that's downloaded by ModMii, so while the configurator is outdated, at least if someone opens up the sample they'll see the line that needs to be added

Hello everyone,

I have a problems, some time ago a familiar bought an used/modified WII.

after some troubleshooting and help from this forum I was able to move forward.

My status is now:
1. installed cIOS trough a guide I found.
2. the WII already had CFG usb loader, but when I try to load games (roms) it says WBFS1 partition not found.

how can I solve this? on windows format options wbfs is not an option.
also maybe my cfg usb loader might be old? where can I check the latest version available?

Many thanks for any help! Regards.

Hello,

what is your USB support (usb key or external hard drive) ??

Recommend == <fat32 external hard drive

if your external hard drive is not recognized by Windows, you can convert it to fat32 with wbfs2fat (without losing games) ==>https://gbatemp.net/threads/wbfs2fat-py.291320/

use this version of configurable loader usb == >>https://wiidatabase.de/downloads/usb-und-disk-loader/configurable-usb-loader-mod/

Sounds like you have a really old setup that is using the WBFS format on the drive. That's really not used anymore.

Seeing you don't mind loosing the games you should reformat the external drive as FAT32 like @jeannotte suggested.

However if you want to make sure everything is up to date and have all the current loaders use ModMii to re-mod the Wii. It'll generate a step by step guide on how to do everything as well as include video examples.

Can’t click on any of the cfg usb loader settings. I tried all the newer and older versions. As you can see in the picture, the manage and options button are grayed out and I can't click on them(for all of my games). Any help is appreciated !

your config.txt must have locked some settings, or require a password

iirc if you hold 1 for 5 seconds it should prompt you for the password if 1 has been set up. The password will be saved in your config file, or you can remove the restrictions entirely by editing the config file manually or by using the configurator for configurable usb-loader (should be an exe saved to the usb-loader folder)

Hello.:)

Hi Everybody,

is it possible to change the default filter when starting CFG loader to show only Wii backups please ?
and, if yes, how (of course) ?

Not really,for what I know.
You can change the Filter to only show Wii Games if your are in the Configurable USBLoader.
But at the next Re-Boot the Loader shows all Gametypes again.:(

Thanks for your reply again alexander1970. So, I am unlucky again !
it is a pain to find the wanted backup with this loader when your wii is totally offline as it is the same picture for all.
And as it seems that it is not capable to run GC backup through cMIOS, they are not working, so it is useless to show them.
and I don't like its nintendont mode as it is changing the content of my nincfg.bin and crash, I prefer running directly nintendont myself.

So, see you on next thread... :D

I am now getting this error on the configurable USB loader. It was working yesterday. I need to use hermes ios 222 because I'm playing a just dance mod(Just dance Unlimited party by vlad). I have no clue why I'm getting this error. I tried to search on the internet for literal hours. For all the English people out there. This error translates to Error:setting up fragments 0 2 ID mismatch: [S5UE41] [] Error: SETWBFS: -3. I also checked my hdd and the game's id doesn't match with any other game's id. I also included my syscheck and I'm using the latest version of cfg and the game used to work with ios 222m. Any help is appreciated. Have a nice day everyone !!

Hello,

are you using this version of configurable usb loader ==>https://wiidatabase.de/downloads/usb-und-disk-loader/configurable-usb-loader-mod/

try with the CIOS 249 or 250 in the game settings.
